I caught over 300 musky in 16 yr;s living in Jersey ! That fish about 18-20 lb fish. Mybiggest was 49 1/2 inch 25 3/4 lb. You need a long pair of needle nose plyers for hook removal . Nice fish !
I usually use whatever I have that’s sneaky lol. 2/3lb test or sometimes 6lb if it’s all I got and tiny circle hook or oama hook with little bread balls lol hinaleas and kupipis always go for the bread
I commented like 2 months ago but I think it's official... This might be the best catch in history for freshwater central jersey winter fishing ! I don't see something better other then ocean catches or a huge bass ! Congrats again ! You have given anglers around here hope LOL fish of a lifetime for these waters anyone that disagrees is just jealous AF 😂

It all depends were you go in Kauai every fish like different things in different fishing spots if your using laurels but if you use shrimp or fresh tako you’ll catch most places 🤙🏾
