This movie is an interesting what if scenario, basically an alternate version of the bible. But Jesus, the one in the Bible, is definitely not at all the doubter and afraid nervous blast in a sinful type person that Willem Dafoe played. Jesus was absolutely certain of who he was and what he was here to do. He preached nothing but peace and love. He was very confident in who he was, what he was here to do, and knew that he was going to die. The only time, and I mean the only time in the Bible that Jesus expressed his human side was in Gethsemane. But even so, it was a brief moment and he quickly overcame it because he knew what he was here to do. He was confident strong and well aware of who he was in the power that he had. This movie is blasphemous in every respect. Usually I like artistic interpretation, but being a devout christian, I can do nothing but condemn this. Jesus never ever ever spoke like this, or even had thoughts like this.
Great trivia re: Curtis and Williams... Cara Williams got a best supporting actress nomination for this role playing Tony's mother. In 'real life'? They were both born in June 1925 - and she was even a few weeks younger. Rest in paradise, TC and CW ✨️
Not everyone that goes to college is gonna go to grad school Those four years of hard work do a lot for you later. True, grad school does even more for you though

Goodbye, Mr. Chips is a very charming film. I believe Cathy and Gone With The Wind’s Melanie are two ‘fictional’ extraordinary virtuous women who could indeed inspire any man to their utmost best potential.
Nikos kazanzakis wrote a searing story. That analysed the duality of humanity and our struggle. Put in the very real context of the Christ figure. Its a damn genius film..
Rather hear Gary Pihl play it, but that's the Red Rocker's theme song. He's sure got the Robt Plant hair goin on as always. Voice is great here too and he rocks that Strat
