Mr. Donnelly was there when Czech Lotus crew and customers visited the driving school in Hethel. His moves and talk was absolutely legendary, you could tell how much his injuries affected him physicaly but mentaly not a bit :-) there was one czech guy, a driving instructor in Brno, proud man, who participated and drove the Evora with Martin in a passenger seat. When they finished the czech guy just exited the Lotus, put the helmet on the ground with the words I am finished here I quit. :-) Martin told him that he is driving like his 83 year old mother but she has a Vauxhall and drives for groceries :D Loved it. The owner of Czech Lotus dealership was taxi driven by Mr. Donnelly in Hethel circuit and later he told me he though he would die 4 times per each lap. Stories for life.
Pironi did NOT win F1 Championship. He won F1 races. You should use the correct terms. There's a huge difference. And Wendlinger never won a F1 race. This video was so full of mistakes that it's not even funny.
martin donnelly was very fucking lucky because that accident should not have been survived. he was ejected from the car and broke or bruised almost every bone in his body
Pironi won his first F1 Race not the F1 World Championship (Belguim 1980), the next season 1981 Pironi moved to Ferrari, Villeneuve Crashed and Died during Qualifying for the 1982 Belguim GP the Race after San Marino, Pironi Power Boat Crash happend in August 87 not same year ae 1986
Narrator, you ask me at the end what I think? I knew it was going to be bad after introducing the 'tragic drivers''. The script and narration is tragic, not the drivers. Not many of the accidents were caused by bad driving. The drivers had tragic accidents, but they were not tragic drivers. I think the script is badly written as if translated from another language to English, riddled with grammatical errors, poorly chosen words and mistakes. The narration is clumbsy, an awkward voice that is a struggle to listen to, with accentuation attempts of names better left to native speakers, and the butchering of Derek War Wick. Peroni 'proved' his speed, not 'provided' his speed. Formula 1 cars are 'driven', you don't 'ride' them like a bus. I don't recall Nannini winning a race with Minardi, does anyone else? What are all these prizes drivers are winning anyway, cuddly toys? 'Prizes' are won at fairgrounds by children. An uninformative and unfortunate choice of words in a Formula 1 context. Photos were nicely stitched. Nothing a trip across the Irish Sea can't resolve...
-Martin Donnelly is NOT from England! He's from Belfast, Northern Ireland..... -Look in to how to pronounce Warwick (Derrick) I'm 60 seconds in to the video - NOT a great start! Goodbye!
Nelson Piquet also ended his career after the crash. He and Alessando are friends and they joked, they would both re-enter in f1 in a two siter car, Alessando would press the pedals, Nelson would change the gears in steer.
The video is full of numerous mistakes as others have mentioned, showing a lack of research and basic understanding of F1. And also hardly a name that's not been completely mangled in pronounciation.
