I don’t have one, but I did replace them with the heavy duty ones a few years ago. Sometimes those factory ones get pinched or they leak around the valve stem. You can get a pair on Amazon for $20. You should also replace the liner around the rim.

I am impressed by your restraint. You haven't gone nuts with upgrades, which to be honest, is actually pretty cool. This way you are getting the most out of the bike and then upgrading. Those Zanella digital speedometers on Amazon are great...easy to install..but mine started acting weird at 2700 miles. a little copper thing is bouncing around in the tachometer, so far so good, but when it gets caught in the needle it causes and issue. Multiple people told me not to worry about it, but I paid 70 bucks for this guage and an hour of installation and it lasted half as long as my stock one (well this one is not technically dead yet, but I know it will be).
I bought one from amazon for my rear. i lost a spoke on the stock one from shitty WV roads and i jumped it. anyway. i filled the whole with JB weld and kept riding until another spoke came out. Ended up getting an x-pro replacement but beware, they are not always true from the factory and also...might need balanced. I am about to have mine balanced and then try to see if they need trued.
@@LookatthebottomMy manual says use at least 90 but I'm not sure what the ethanol-free gas that I put in mine is rated at. I was just wondering if my first tank is at 87 will it hurt it. Just like you said I filled it up before I read the manual.😂

it wont allow me to post the links, but the carb is NIBBI flange type 28mm and the brand of mirrors is...XYZCTEM Heavy Duty . these are way better mirrors with a much larger field of view, are more sturdy and also cheap. a m a z o n
@@Lookatthebottom The Nibbi carb is so much easier to tune and the idle is a large knob on the side. Also, it's basically a Keihin and all parts are interchangeable.
Sounds great! Awesome job! I left all that spring/slide/needle/cap/top from the old carb trying to save time and the bike wouldn't run so I ended up swapping everything like you did!
Awesome video! I think the carb was the best upgrade I did on my TBR7 I got the cheap one and it worked perfectly! I found out my issue was the air box was plugged and when I disconnected that box it ran perfect so I just used a foam bulb type filter and stopped using the boxed filter.
The choke lever fell off and was stuck in choke off position. I got it back on but I had to bind the lever in the off position because as I rode it would slip back into full choke. I got a new one.
I had a Hawk 250 with 8k miles in one year and sold it for what I paid for it. Bought a Orion rxb 250 efi and put 6k miles in a year and sold it for 200 less than what I paid for it. I now have a GPX FSE 300r with 1k miles and I would highly recommend there bikes. I was always wrenching the hawk 250. Orion I had bad customer service experience and the bike had issues. But the GPX is a forever bike for me with the quality. You get what you pay for.
I had an offer for the price I paid last year, but turned it down. I now have it listed a bit higher because everyone wants to negotiate a lower price. I still like it too much to sell, but want to try something different.
I would remove the carb, take it apart and clean it while you're there, and check if anything internal loosened up or got bent. Sounds almost like the float is getting hung up or something after the drop. If it is float-related, the engine could have ran normally for a short while until the float bowl emptied. Let us know how it goes!
definitely sounds fuel related. Take the carb apart and clean it with carb cleaner. You can find videos on how to do it. Add a fuel filter while you are down there. The alcohol in gasoline really messes the carb up. Good luck HW
Good to hear you're ok! I think everyone does that one time or another, then another.. Beware of the front brake when turning it can do the same thing. The advantage of having the large front tire is that it goes over stuff like that easier than like a supermoto wheel.
I saved four plants from last year and the largest one is producing flowers already. I have a jar of pickles that I made from last fall peppers. Let me know if you want to try either. I'll send you some.

do you know how i could fix the little button that you also had broken? i thought mine was okay but as i was taking it apart and cleaning everything i noticed the knob kind of just sits in place and spins freely because it was broken before hand (i found it at a goodwill)
i avoid traffic when possible, primarily riding on back roads and country roads. people in cars scare me. glad to see you out on the hawk, been following you for a while now. take care bud.
You’re neglecting your bike by not checking the precision tolerances on things such as your valves until you “ experience issues and/ or the first service interval”…
I'm glad to see you're still making videos, West. I ended up adding a Chinese Lifan xpect to my stable of bikes. Got about a thousand miles on it with no problems at all.
Just for info got my wife the magician 250 put a few hundred miles on hers the first time we put it on reserve with in 6 miles starting running and like shit something in fuel/tank plugged up the jet and they have them tamper proof bowl with them screws that you can’t take out good thing we were only 5 miles from home could not go above 42 I had already ordered and received new carb so was able. Take care of it but don’t agree with you on not replacing the carb that should be the first thing anybody should do to these bike if you on the road far away from home with that carb and can’t get in there to clean jet you are screwd you can’t get to the jet with basic tools that you carry with you on the road
