I'm not familiar with the Carib House video. I shot all the video myself on a Nikon D90, and assembled footage with a WindowsPC program. As for music, I adapted pieces of David Gray's "Sail Away", Styx's "Come Sail Away" and then finished with Bob Dylan's "When the Ship Comes In". Hope that helps.
@ulque2fa94 Hi it's called "Happy People". you can find it on the album "Happy people" and on the new one "sketches of MD - live at iridium jazz club". i also recommend searching for it on youtube.. there are some great versions of kenny's group online ^^ greetings chris
Oh god, I remember using my cell phone to see in the Bathroom, the crowd singing Shout with no music, and trying to figure out how far the blackout went.
This song is called Happy people, from the album happy people. Kenny has played this song a few different ways over the years depending on who he is playing with. This song apperas on the recently released Sketches of MD
no way dude, kenny's new band is the shit. if anything, the bass player is the weakest component. what kenny is doing with this band is the future of jazz music, this is very exciting
I know what you mean about Ron Bruner being just those couple of steps up and ill agree with you Justin Brown could probably be on that same level hes one hell of a drummer but he just needs to learn how to restrain himself.
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. For a guy as accomplished as Garrett (one of the finest sax players of his generation), its great to see him open up his style with younger musicians with a funk vibe. What would you prefer, the other Kenny G in an elevator music style of jazz?
