Hi! I am a 26-year-old South Africa-based creative, running a production company specializing in film and photography. I am passionate about what I do and even more passionate about sharing what I've learned with others. On this channel, I want to provide the RU-vid community with information that is helpful to other filmmakers and photographers like myself. There are so many lessons and topics that I wish I learned earlier on in starting the business. I'd love for this channel to be a platform that people can use to be inspired and to learn more and more about business and all the ins and outs of being in this industry.
Hi there, it will render at whatever your render settings have been set to. This feature just makes use of the cache to speed the rendering up. Essentially what it's doing is making use of the pre-processed footage that has been processed in the background whilst editing or grading, that way recourses can be focused on just rendering the images and only processing that which hasn't already been. This is a huge life saver on massive projects but don't forget to go and clear your render caches when you are finished with a project or your storage will be eaten away very quickly! I like to set my cache locations strategically in my timeline settings.
It depends on the license that suits you but you can click on the link in the description of the video and it will take you to the pricing options to have a look at 🙌
Hi there! I am using the LG OLED C2 48" which I'm finding is a bit big. But it does give me a 10 bit output with great contrast ratios and brightness levels at an affordable cost. You just have to be sure to calibrate it correctly and consistently
At 7:00 mins can’t hear you, your background music is louder than your voice and you holding the mic like ice cream cone. This type of thing has to stop. Not sure why most of creators on social media so lazy that they hold mic on their hands and loud music. 😅
Glad you enjoy the content! I don’t have enough work with Nigerian talent to do a full video specifically on that but will definitely consider doing a workflow video for working with darker skin 🙏
I never really comment. But I love your explanation and detail into the whole process about tone curves and such. One thing is I feel the music is a bit too loud so it's a little hard to hear. Great work!
Thanks mam really appreciate it! I agree about the music, I watched it back on another device and realized that the speakers I had used to edit the video weren't giving me a true representation of the volume. Glad you liked the video. I look forward to making more 🙌
Super informative. Your explanation of the tone curve contained answers to so many things that I've been wondering about when trying to get a filmic look to my footage.
Thanks! We used very basic lenses actually. If I remember correctly we were using canon dslr prime lenses, 20mm and 50mm f1.4. Not the best lenses to use but we didn't have much more available at the time
I'm assuming you are referring to the on camera monitor? As long as my vlock plate isn't mounted too closely to the monitor, it's been very easy to reach and view the monitor without much obstruction which is great
I think my approach is wrong when shooting. I can't get my footage to have the same look accross the board. My grading keeps "breaking" some of them. The result ends up having weird artefacts
@@maverickcoltmanphotography5893 as long as you make sure that you are setting your white balance manually and have set it as correctly as you can, and you are being aware of your lighting conditions, you should be able to get it to look similar. There are so many variables that can come into play but in my opinion, your white balance and exposure are two of the biggest things to consider to ensure you have more flexibility in post production
