I want to be a youth worker you think getting a degree in youth and community is a waist as apparently you don’t need to get a degree to become a youth worker please help! I’m sure a degree opens up more jobs but this is the main job I want
Plan is to go college and do a course not sure what yet though to become a youth support worker to learn on the job. Looking at part time support working jobs right now for experience.
@@dannyh_fitness Hi Danny, sorry for the very slow reply. If you want to get into youth work you'll need to show some commitment before applying for a job. This often means having done some volunteering, or courses in useful sorts of things (child protection, activity leadership, first aid etc). The Degree isn't youth work training, it's an on-the-job education - as you have to be working whilst learning. It's super useful, but most people get a job first and then look into it. Might be better to start off finding work and then getting on the Level 2 or Level 3 course. Good luck!
@@adammuirhead6683 all good! currently I’m a mental health support worker but applied for a youth apprenticeship for September! If I don’t get it then I’ll look to volunteer and get the level 2 or 3 diploma in youth work practice that way as apparently that’s what I need to then go on and become a youth support worker which apparently is a step down from an actual youth worker and you train up then for a year so your a youth worker
@@adammuirhead6683 I need a level 2 or level 3 diploma in youth work practice and to get that you either do an apprenticeship, college course, volunteering, degree. Hopefully I’ll be accepted onto this apprenticeship which would make it easier but if not im sure it’ll work out
you've all been had !!! the so called virus has only been isolated 'in silico' or computer simulation lol ,see dr tom cowan et al. ignorance is no excuse
