Walmart is a good Entry Level Prep. It's essential to have a basic kit than nothing at all. This does put you ahead of the many who have nothing at all.
freeze your oats, rice, pasta, powdered milk, and instant/powdered mash potatoes for at least 48 hours. This will kill any little bugs and their eggs, which are going to be in ALL your foods like this.
Stock seeds of different vegetables that us easy to grow. During second world war, because my grandfather was hunted by the Japanese, they went to my grandmothers mother birthplace in Leyte and they went up to the mountain eating what can be find in the mountain. My father was only 11 years old.
For cheap alternatives canned pet foods for meat and cow licks for good healthy salt that contain all needed minerals, plus you buy it by the blocks. When I was a kid, we ate cow lick salt when we got our hands on it, we absolutely loved it.
"Lest amount of fat"! Are you out of your mind, fat is what your body has to have every day, now in a SHTF situation fat will be critical. The best survival tool you can have is a pressure cooker, one just like your old granny used. 15-20 minutes after coming to full pressure, your soaked beans, tough meat etc. will be done, plus your cooked food is already in a sterile and sealed container, so you can cook-n-scoot to a new location or leave the food until the next day if need be. If you add a moonshiner's coil to a pressure cooker you can distill water, distilled ocean water will give you salt, plus a pressure cooker uses less fuel and time to cook.

You are outing yourself as someone who thinks only men care about this, and only men matter. Feminine hygiene products are NOT bonus items, they are necessities, and anyone who cares about the women in their lives AT ALL would realize that. Watch you bleed from your peen for a week out of every month and see how fast products designed to keep you clean and presentable get prioritized. Details like this are why women like me laugh at prep bros like you, you live in a fantasy world where you are the only important person alive
Every time I go to the liquor store and they have those mini off-brand airline bottles of booze for sale I will buy them up for .50 or a dollar a piece and put them in the basement... after SHTF and the liquor stores are looted, wait a week or so and they will be like pure gold...good for barter and if its vodka could be an effective disinfectant. After SHTF Its happy hour all day... :)
Only comments I’m gonna make. Could have made a long list. Why fill the tiny water bag when you have several pots to fill? Fill them instead. Make a few trips if needed. Boil it all and you’re way ahead. Fill your pack with leaves/grass for pillow. Don’t waste cord. Sharpen all edges. Stop complaining. I’m out.
Good selection. I would add dried fruit, especially raisens, which are high in iron, to add to oatmeal or a peanut butter sandwich. Also walnuts, which are high in Omega-3 fatty acids. Cooked oatmeal with raisens, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, and powdered milk is not only an extremely healthy meal, but also lowers cholesterol (oatmeal), lowers blood pressure (cinnamon) and boosts iron (raisens). Yum! Also, peanut butter is one of my staples. Mixed with honey, it is a mega-high energy food. Obviously one needs to shelf rotate all these items, and I keep my walnuts in the refrigerator. Finally, I store spelt berries in mylar bags in 5-gal buckets. Spelt is an older form of wheat, it's low gluten, and most people can tolerate it even if slightly gluten-intolerant. Along with a hand grinder. Baking soda, baking powder. A big bag of Redmond salt. Good to go.
you should check out Anzac biscuits (cookies) if you love oats, easy recipe to make. They used to send it to the soldies in WW1 and WW2 because they have a decent shelf life for cookies.
What's easier and much cheaper is to get to know and have a personal relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST and REPENT of YOUR SINS, and when the SHTF you'll will be raptured and join us in HEAVEN.
