My favorite vocalist is Green, but in this song im gonna go for Reber version. I love both version but reber version is not on spotify, so mostly i listen to green version
This is hard. Olay, the Tempo difference really causes a problem when it comes to comparing the two songs. There are other things that complicate comparison also. I really like Cove’s song. The Tempo seems much more natural for the song. It’s so hard to look beyond the glaring tempo difference.
@They're trying to weaponize it Nah Cove did do a version of this song with different drums at the beginning and higher production value than the original Anthony Green version which was remastered in 2020. You can also tell just by listening to the voices. Cove is a mid-tenor with a heavier voice than Anthony Green's high tenor voice. That voice at the beginning of this video is Cove 100%. I love both voices, but they are both hard to compare as we are talking about a mid-tenor vs a high tenor. I think Cove can pull off Anthony Green songs better than AG can pull off Cove songs as AG's voice is too high and he would need to switch the key up a couple of steps from the original Cove key to make the song adapt to his higher voice.
I loved many songs with Cove, and I think he did justice for a period of time but Anthony sings those songs like he lived/wrote them and you can feel that. Even the production/mixing of those early songs you can tell they were meant for Green but got reworked for Cove.
Cada uno es genial, pero esta fué de las primeras canciones que escuché de Saosin con Anthony y quedé fascinado con esa voz tan única y la emoción que transmite
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FC2gzo7zxBc.html Cove is great but all the early Saosin songs were written by Anthony and done best by him. The Cove/Saosin albums are also awesome though
Anthony is better and it’s not even a little bit close. Cove cover is a hard force. Especially live… but forget that, doesn’t matter. You can feel Anthony’s voice, you can only hear cove’s.
Both are great. Anthony Green is a high tenor and Cove is a mid-tenor. Both singers technically have high voices for guys, but Cove's voice is more powerful as far as vocal weight goes, while AG's voice is more unique and lighter.
Props to Cove, very good version! However, it's clear Anthony's soul is in his song.. There's an emotional attachment singers have in the music they write, to me it felt super personal. Amazing job to both though, banger song in general!!
Disagree. Cove has much more punch in his delivery, Anthony has more dynamic range but that doesnt mean he has more emotional attachment. Cove is far superior. Even moreso to my point, cove sings WITH the band, anthony doesnt.
Lyrics: Betray The Avalon is always beside me And I'm following it home Where is my home Orion glows And his eyes open up I once believed that I would set you in line If only I had the strength you'd be completely accepting something else If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you to stop it now If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you just tell me something The fluid through the alpha waves and power cables everywhere Exercising self-control The child calls And she lies open I would believe if only I'd been thinking at all If only I had the strength you'd be completely accepting something else If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you to stop it now If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you just tell me something
