Ah happy to hear it’s helpful! & thanks for your kind words. Yes the resolution makes a big difference 😄 I’m still using it til this day and it’s been amazing.
Thank you very much... you made it look relatively easy. 😊 Im keen to try this craft and have purchased a Yokefellow nail engraver, but the jingling burs dont fit. The shank size needs to be 3/32" to take these burs. So what brand añd size burs do these machines use. Thank you!
Ah that’s odd! 3/32 inches is correct. Either your engraver or burs’ the issue, but it’s more likely the burs. Check if you ordered the right size. It should be 3/32 inches or 2.35 mm.
Thanks for your reply. 12:16 I've bought a Dremel Stylo with a chuck. So all good. Have tried in the base of metal drink bottle. It did bounce a bit, so need to slow the rpm, as you suggested to someone else.
Yes of course! One way is to print your design with a cricut to act as a stencil. Remember to inverse it so the design is the one you’re “cutting out”. Paste it over your surface, and you can engrave directly within your stencil. This requires a cricut or equivalent equipment of course. Or you can also transfer it the old school way - print your design and colour all over the back side of it with a wax pencil or crayon or chalk. Tape it down design facing up and trace over your design with a ball point pen. Pressure from the pen will transfer the design onto the glass surface. Oh but if you’re engraving on transparent glass like a wine or champagne glass, you can just print the design and tape it to the back side of it. Hope the above tips help!
Wow this video is very in-depth, thank you! I'm glad you showed it working for stainless steel cutlery, cuz that's exactly what I was gonna use it for! :)
With a pencil, yes. For ballpoint pens, stroke width would be similar but you can get contrast in terms of the colour (light pressure - fainter stroke, harder pressure - full colour stroke). Hope this helps!
Hey, great work! I have a couple of questions: About the color, is it in real life just like the color portrayed in the video. My second question is if the paint stays on the glass, mirror, doesn’t it fade away or go away if you clean the glass, mirror? My third question is if this paint will also work on mirrors , glass that are hand engraved? Kind regards :)
Yes it works on mirror as well. To my knowledge, it won’t fade if it’s left untouched. With repeated washing, then yes, it’ll risk fading over time. Regarding colour, there are many colours available online or in-stores - you may choose your preferred colour option! Eg. Gold, silver, white and more.
It seems that due to lack of explanation that much exercise is required in skill to control / handle the cutting tool ((before)) expecting smooth lines of lettering. This is so, even if calligrapgy skills by user is refined. Afterall, this is not a pen and is spinning at thousands rpm and it will want to jump off or skid off surface when attempt is made to engrave. Many marketers of such equioment fail to explain this and in haste they demonstrate highly skilled engraving --in order to secure sales--. gd luck
I’m not sure what to make out of this comment! Just to clarify, the engraving tools I’ve mentioned in this video, they’re all from other brands that I’ve used, and hope to share with others who are considering as well! I don’t make any commissions from sharing these 3 engraving tools 🙌🏻❤️
L.Hong. With due respect, I stress that anyone learning to use any type of similar equipment (which rotates at high speed) require basic & advanced skill of the hand to become familiar with the 'handpiece'. Best result is achieved --after-- good control / dexterity with it. This should clear up any claimed misunderstanding of my initial note here. tks
Question: can this unit be used standalone when connected to an HDMI projector? Of course I'll have to use a USB cable to power the unit, but I need to know if I can use it without having to connect to a laptop and thereby have to use software. Thanks for video, really helpful.
@@renehinojosa1962I just ordered it too and as well... this wonderful demo sealed the deal!! I was waiting for the new Logi but this is way better!!!!
