Hey mate, just wondering if you know the model of the ARB bullbar you had on it? Have an ARB on my non-flare NL that came with it but it it sticks out past the guards abit which I don’t like so looking to swap. Yours looks flush so keen to check out whether it would fit mine, but that am wondering if flush look is a result of the flares on yours. Also do you remember roughly how much it was to get the rock sliders fabricated?
Hi there. Yes there are 2 models. I actually have the wrong one also. Mine is the narrow one that you need. I cut the corners and flared it out to fit the body line. Not sure on part numbers. I can’t see one on mine. I paid $1150 for rock sliders and scrub bars. All custom made, powder coated and fitted. I paid a bit extra to get the dimple holes infill panels on top
@@rennierattan3665 hi there. This is my second car. Not daily driven, just off road only. So I will modify it in any way that benefits it’s off road capabilities
I just want my 4d56t to make 10-11psi I’m at 9psi, do you think removing the plug is necessary in my case? If it bleeds at 15psi that doesn’t worry me I’d like to run it at a lot less
I just got a 2012 2.8 4M40 SWB, looking forward to build it for offroad with some performance mods! You can check a video of it on my channel. Its weird to see a newer pajero with a 4M40, you can find a 2018 LWB automatic with the 2.8 still here in Central America
@@SebasHenderson I’ll have a look. 2000 or 2001 was the last year you could get 4M40 in a Pajero here in Australia. I think they ran it a bit longer in Triton
@@SebasHenderson I just watched your video. That’s crazy seeing that old engine in the new car. Our swb Gen 4 Pajeros only ran for a couple of years circa 2007. They had the 125kw 4m41. After this model the engine went to a vgt turbo and went to 147kw. No more swb though.
@PERTHSCOOTER07 yeah it's kind of weird and crazy, it doesn't make any sense to keep the old engines in newer vehicles, we also got the 3.2 and the gasoline 3.8 but only on higher trim levels, all LWB.
@@martycrawford1529 I loved my 4M40 for mud and rocks. But I love the petrol more overall. Although the 3.5 on 35’s has garbage fuel economy. But that’s not an issue as it’s not daily driven.
what a pajero! love it. did you need to get cable lenghteners for certain engineparts when getting a total 3" lift? i got 33" on my gen 2 paj and want to lift it. thinking of doing a 2" bodylift, but I also want to lift the torsion bars but do not want to have to work on the engine cables
With the suspension lift I had to unbolt the handbrake cables from the trailing arms as they were pulling tight. And with the body lift I had to match up a generic top radiator hose and that’s about it from memory
Great video. Word to the wise- these steps are likely good for most alternators, but if you are working on an AC Delco AKA Delcotron alternator NEVER use an impact gun to install the main hub nut. Doing so will distort the body and cause rubbing... I had a parts store fellow think he was doing me a favor by installing the nut on my replacement (when I only asked him to remove the old one). He handed me a fresh, but now broken alternator. I was stuck in that town for another 3 days while another unit was sourced. Thanks for sharing. Love those Pajeros- we own two 1990s with 6G72 here in the USA we call them Montero, because Pajero means something bad in Spanish slang. Cheers!
Hi. I’m not sure. You can buy aftermarket from most parts suppliers. Or you can buy genuine from Mitsubishi or somewhere like Partsouq using vin number for reference
I have 2” body lift from Xpajun 2” suspension lift from GU patrol stock rear springs and re-indexed torsion bars. 2” lifted Toughdog rear shocks for 4Runner/Surf (4” longer than Paj) And 2” lifted Commando front shocks. Oh and upper droop stops fully removed
Rad Pajero brother! Got a 1999 model 2.8. M58 BMW engine, rebuilt for offroading in collaboration with Artic Trucks and Sqeet Team Offroading. Got some 44" Toyo M/T on that fucker with Trailmaster suspension - The next step is for sure the exhaust, needs to have the muffler removed for sure! Would recommend you chip tune to stage 1. Even if your Paj has driven over 200k km the engine should be capable of handling the tune-up with ease, Japanese engines last forever - Channels and chassis, not as much. 😆
The 4M40 can handle a bit. Just gotta be careful of heat. Them heads don’t like getting hot. The M58 will be nice. I looked at conversions but just don’t have the spare time.
