Much appreciated comparison - thanks! Hovering between Cort Gold, Faith Venus High Gloss and Furch - not sure what model yet. This is a great help, thanks again. BTW, tried some 'cheap' Taylors and Martins today - dull and quiet. Not going there - and can't afford their decent ones!
Glad it helped! Thanks for the kind comment! I hope you will find the best guitar for you. If you can stretch your budget, a Furch or a Dowina guitar would probably be the best quality of all the others.
You could find for best price the Alice AW 432 SL strings that I've tested on many guitars and they sound great and last pretty long as they are coated.
This is the best capo I’ve found. I bought the wider one for 12 string and the regular 6 string one. The regular one only fits up to the 6th fret on my acoustic guitars so I bought the 12 string one for acoustic and it fits better I can use it all up the neck on my vintage wide neck guitars. Both are fantastic
I think the same, Best Capo for price for sure... I know that higher than this you could also find the Elliott Capos, but they're way more expensive...Thanks for the comment!
@@77guitarts22 'Ahh thats a shame. If you can get your hands on Dowina or Furch guitars I would happily link to them and give you a link in from my site - like a mutual benefit :)
What an awesome video and I agree totally with @caseyk6625. #1 Furch . Thankfully I am the UKs main supplier of Furch - I LOVE THEM #2 Cort. Yes I really did feel this was up there - really awesome - these two stood apart from the others. As the largest manufacturer of guitars in the World they have incredible technology in place to build guitars for many of the brands in the market. #3 Taylor. I will put this third but could easily have been last. Tinny and non discript #4 Faith. So glad people can hear this rather than look at it - too many people buy on looks alone and then convince themselves it sounds good after - which is fine if you love the guitar for the looks - thats cool. Faith havent brought out a single guitar in years that has taken the brand forward. Faith used to produce a guitar called the "Trembesi" model. This was trembesi back and sides with a spruce top. This guitar sounded superb - and had a real boutique vibe about it. They discontinued it and replaced it for the ALL trembesi model - pureley on the looks - it sounded far worse but was more popular because it looked pretty. I was gutted. Off the back of the Trembesi - and realising that looks sell - they then released the BLUE MOON made from MANGO - yep.... because it looks cool. So greateful you did this video.
I understand your concern, if you've never used one of these... Once you get used to it ( use it first on the low E that can't break easily), you'll love it. Especially if you have more than 30 guitars like me :))
I like my 70 MH for the deep and clean lows and also an even response to all the frequencies, but if you would like the classic Martin D18 combination, Spruce+Mahogany, go with the Earth 100
But if you're referring to Earth 70 simple vs 100, the main difference I see is better appointments for the 100, and a different finish choice, glossy and UV cured thin finish, versus Open pore finish on the 70
@@77guitarts22 Yea I meant the Cort Earth 70 vs the Cort Earth 100. But Ive also heard an Epiphone DR-100 with Elixir Polyweb strings on it which is cheaper and it sounded perfect aswell. Just not sure if it will be the same sound for me if I change the strings like in the video. So I cant decide between those 3 Acoustic Guitars.
You may be referring to the LX but not this one... I'm telling you, it's not a kids guitar, and ask around, many prefer the sound of these X series with solid top of course. The Back and sides have the hardness of Ebony or rosewood, so it reflects the sound so good and sweet. I'm really impressed with it, although many talk bad about them but never tried one themselves
Sure, mainly Solid Sitka Spruce Top + Back made of 5 pcs layers of Figured Walnut, Ebony fretboard, Maple inlay, LRBaggs electronics VTC, and this is the S, larger than the W ... you can find more details online here:heartbreakerguitars.com/products/lowden-ed-sheeran-equals-edition-signature-s-model-sitka-spruce-walnut-8870 heartbreakerguitars.com/products/lowden-ed-sheeran-equals-edition-signature-s-model-sitka-spruce-walnut-8870
Would be amazing if true was a easy to go last hands on a bunch and take your pick of the litter. There a lot of variation from guitar to guitar... Like quite a not.... And QC doesn't pull individual instruments that are not on the same level as the better ones... Would be amazing if an expert separated then into high grade and lower grade.... And then sold them as different models at different price points.... Maybe with a different pick guard or something....They have been working on their QC though, from what I've been told. So maybe it's getting better
Doesn't sound as good as the Hummingbird Epiphone Inspired by Gibson! Matter of fact, I read somewhere that the Epiphone sounds an looks better than the Gibson! Thats Amazing 😉
hard to compare since the side/back materials and soundboards are totally different from each other. find another taylor with similar specs. The density of ebony vs mahogany are so far apart that its not a fair comparison. unless the retail price of both instruments are the same then you know that you get a better value with dowina.
In fact for the Dowina you would pay less than the similar Taylor 114ce, and you get a better pickup with Tunner built-in and Blend of piezo & microphone, better binding ( real wood), beautiful inlays, hand made by a small team, the feeling is of a boutique guitar compared to the Taylor. Plays even easier than the Taylor. The Back and Sides are laminated but they are not influencing the sound as much as the solid woods would...
@@77guitarts22 I understand your comparison if your main point is the price, value and comfort but i just don't think the tone can be compared because of the different species being used. not sure if the bodies are the same dimensions either so that maybe another variable
Thanks for your feedback, it's actually a pretty well made model for what it costs like 4 times cheaper than their All-Solid models... Plays very easy ( easier than some D18s I tried ), and the projection is huge, a lot of low end ... Look it up and see that some people prefer the sound to the other more expensive ones
I just bought one of these also mahogany for 200 bucks. They appear to be a limited special run. Regarding the sound, other strings will change that. I never use fender strings.
How do you like it do u prefer the sound of it compared to the other guitar pick-up you hav? And btw did you switch of your camera mic on this video when testing just the line in sound?
Yes, I prefer the sound of this one, it's more natural. I didn't get to turn off the camera mic, so you hear a bit of the acoustic but the amp is louder, I'll probably do another video just plugged in.
@jaywong8023 Sure, no problem... but Honestly I haven't changed it since I installed it so I guess it gives you a lot of hours, of course if you unplug it after you play ( leave it plugged and it will drain out your battery)
Yeah, my thing is particularly with the Rd -328- I don't want to do any drilling so I'm thinking just use my old faithful Fishman soundhole pickup with anti feedback all in one and it has a 6.3 mm cable that just floats out under the pickguard area. As backup I might try the ones that look like a magnetic pickup in the soundhole that are 'wedged in' by two screw adjusters with loose cable again coming out the bottom near pickguard to go to an amp etc. I just can't bring about myself to drill a hole in the tail of that recording king when I get it..
The one I got is a skysonic 810.. magnetic pickup under neck end of soundhole. Then the cord rucks under middle of guitar to around the back and has a leather sleeve satchel like pouch thing that the 6.3mm female jack sits in and the whole thing goes on your tail strap button. Speaking of rd-328 doesn't come with those..I got some gotoh ones online but I was wondering how you went about (if you have) putting strap buttons on the front and rear of your rd-328 and where particularly did you place the neck one please?.🙏🤘😁
Ok, that sounds like a good plan, how does the pickup sound that way? Here is what I did, similar to what Tony is showing m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cgNbNVDDGS4.html
From these 2 guitars i really prefer the A gold series A8 or A6. I have already tested these 2 models OC in a shop. So in this case i wont answer but nice video as always 👍😉
Appreciate it! Yes, you prefer the Auditorium larger body shape, that's great! I have larger body guitars GA and they're indeed great all-rounders... For Fingerstyle and recording I still prefer the OM body shape...more focused, less muddy
