This guys banjo stood on business that first set. Straight business suit, tie, shined shoes, everything. But for real though, the unique ways they found kills, and not all of them being wonderwing was sick, also mixing up recovery and landing routes were very creative as well. I hope I see banjo players utilize breegul blast into F-smash a lot more.
i got so maaad webb is amazing and I know he knows a lot about his character, but so many grab opportunities lost! and the best combos he got started with grabs, when Jakal failed like 3-4 up smashes in different games webb never punished, he was AT HIS SIDE and didnt grab him, and he tried so many times to engage with fair or nair just to touch shield and get comboed by jakal, thats exactly how he got slammed in WF. I love watching webb play but wish he mixed up more his engages, trading with wolf was always a losing situation. Jakal is amazing with wolf and really knew how to steam roll once he got the advantage, congrats to him!
Yeah they were talking about state of the set instead of like whats happening in the moment so much. Im convinced ultimate commentary cant be good. Melee commentators have spoiled me.
The end of the first set left me screaming! That couldn't be closer. The ending was textbook Wolf's "You're good, but I'm better". Jakal is a beast when he gets in the zone. Commentators need to chill with this cringe glamorizing talk about ADHD. Should feel more shame and not be so loud and proud that your mom stood too close to the microwave while smoking a cigarette. 🙄
your comment gives away how bad you are at this game lmao. you dont criticize a fish for swimming and a bird for flying. sheik might require more technical skill but it doesnt mean jackal is mashing. hes playing to his win con and so is webb
@@leifpeterson4850consistent neutral with shiek at top level is not easy at all her neutral to be consistent is easily top 5 in the game alongside with sora and Rosalina and peach to name a few
@leifpeterson4850 the most important part of the game is closing out stocks. Shiek is VERY good at closing out stocks. But the majority of her kill confirms require precise timing and situational awareness. Yes, neutral is free for her. But she's also one of the lightest characters in the game. 1-3 neutral losses and she should die from a stray hit. She has absolutely zero moves that can kill without a set up. (Other than obviously smash attacks, but that's not practical to land in neutral) she can't land a bair or down tilt stray and get a kill at 160, unlike most characters that can do it well before 150. She has no easy, 'okay I won neutral a bunch, now let me do this to get the stock' options.
@@leifpeterson4850 Playing through marthritis takes a lot of mental game and she takes twice the execution of most chars because damage is "the same with extra steps" compared to your average high tier (I don't mean literally twice the skill but you get twice the chances to mess up for the same result). All of that effort can burn up your mental resources throughout a long bracket making it hard to adapt to late-bracket opponents. I'm not the only one who thinks this, people praise chars like Steve and G&W as low-effort characters that can keep your stamina up.
