I need some help with an issue I have been having with Canva. I made a frame, and I can take a photo which I have taken with my phone and successfully drop it into the frame. However, I have created an image which I save as a JPG file, and, when I try to drop it in the frame, the image will not fill the frame. The image will partially fit in the frame but not fully fit. I have tried (numerous times) to resize the image and re-save but I cannot get to full fit in the frame. Any thoughts? I greatly appreciate your help.
@@boydcombsakaGster it depends on the frame ratio compared to the image ratio. You’ll probably need space. Above and below or on each side. Sometimes it’s a mix of both. Experiment with what this very video teaches.
@@DarrenM Thank you for your prompt response. I tried my image with many different magic expand alternatives and none of them would cause the image to fill the frame. It is something that I need to do with the image. I can take a photo of the image on the screen with my camera and then upload the image into Canva and the photo image will fill the frame, but the image quality is too poor to use. Once again, I appreciate your help and time on this.
@@boydcombsakaGster so. Here’s a thing to try. Put the image in the middle of a square and leave space around the edge on all side. Then try the magic expand maybe.
I'm a Pro Canva user and am receiving a RU-vid Content ID Copyright Infraction. Your video is 2 years old and the Canva download interface now has a "social" section and about a dozen social media platforms to choose from, but surprisingly RU-vid is not one of them. Any ideas how to link Canva and RU-vid to avoid this infraction?
@@ChrisVogel-lb2fr RU-vid shows up when you click download. Also. Be careful of using popular music in Canva. It’s not allowed to be used on social and especially RU-vid. I always recommend not using audio from Canva and either use RU-vid music library as a free resource or use a service like Epidemic Sound which is better quality music.
@@DarrenM I have read that Canva gets their music from Epidemic sound, and as a Pro Canva user, I am approved to use their songs. But I don't see any way to link Canva and RU-vid like everyone is showing in 2 year old videos hear. Now there's a "social" panel where you can link Canva with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest,.... and many others, but NO RU-vid icon there. :(
@@DarrenM I've been using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop equally for work over the past 20 years. They all have their own unique purposes and work together well. That's great, best of luck with learning Illustrator.

Hey, thanks for the video! Great stuff. I have a client who has the pro account and has shared a link to the project with me (free account). It doesn't seem to allow me to resize the project. Am I missing something or will I still need a pro account for this?
I knew it had to be something easy, I was making it way more complicated than it needed to be. This fabulous video got you another subscriber, Thank you!
Just starting my channel and found your video. THANK YOU! I didn't get a warning on my first few shorts so hopefully they are OK. I will be getting Epidemic Sound.....how do I link to canva? Searched apps in Canva but didn't see it listed.
You’d link Epidemic Sound to your RU-vid account and other social media. Not to your Canva account. There’s a link my the description for Epidemic sound and you’ll get a 30 day trial

@@DarrenM please do a presentation as teacher for example how to list point 1, 2 etc on the page. Also if want do mind map how to do. Please show example. TQ
Some of CANVA'S templates don't allow us to crop as you are showing. They just open Smart Crop, and it doesn't allow us to cut on top or below the main part. And all those freehand, 5x5 etc options of cropping are not even shown below Smart Crop. This is so hard. It freezes the mouse from going up, it will either stretch the whole image or shrink it. Any ideas?
Without seeing the template, it's a bit hard to know what you mean. This is how to crop images, but you mention cropping a template? Do you want to resize a template? You can drop me a DM over on IG with a link and I can take a look for you.
Arghhhh! Laptop also being thrown. I am working with non-photographs, an elf, christmas tree, and an arrow. If I click on the elf I get the crop marks in the corners of it, can't crop the christmas tree or arrow. SO FRUSTRATING!
