We are the leading U.S. drone manufacturer and world leader in autonomous flight. We leverage breakthrough AI to create the world’s most intelligent flying machines for use by consumer, enterprise, and government customers.
Founded in 2014, our team is made up of leading experts in AI, robotics, cameras, and electric vehicles from top companies, research labs, and universities from around the world.
We take our responsibility as America's leading drone manufacturer seriously. We design, assemble, and support our products in the U.S. We develop our software in-house and source our processors from U.S. companies. That enables us to provide a high level of supply chain security and serve as a trusted partner to government customers.
The result is a homegrown aircraft that reflects the best of American innovation, trustworthiness, and craftsmanship.
It’s a turd. Customer service was terrible. It’s almost 4000 a year for software that other manufacturers charge nothing for a basic function. If I relied on the customer service. I would have probably lost clients waiting. 1500 bucks new with free software then yeah I would be all in on an old as dirt drone. As this unfolds as others have said the consumer will continue create the market.
And now Skydio wants to rid itself of the competition by buying politicians to pass a bill banning DJI and other Chinese drone manufactures. If Skydio gets away with this what's next, no more TV's, cell phones computers? etc etc. I will never vote for any politician that votes to pass this bill. Shame on Skydio.
I certainly do not want to knock down any people who are actually making things with their hands. But unfortunately, even if this were the greatest manufacturing operation on Earth, this video does not showcase it well at all. Half of the precious screen time is spent to jump about between half a dozen of instances of wires being hand-soldered, about as many instances of stuff being taken off and put back onto shelves, and a few screws being hand-torqued here and there. Two different size boxes being put out for shipping towards the end (3:30) make one wonder if this is the typical production volume of this facility. The film does become somewhat more coherent towards the end. Automated testing and checking the order for the customer were nice to see.
dear skydio, i have a suggestuon, at 3.43 it states designed, assemnbled and supported in united states, instead it should say developed/innovated in the US
Skydio, love how you’re paying lobbyists to get rid of your competition. Try putting that $ into innovation. You played yourself as a company and the industry will never support your products because of it
Skydio should probably change its name to TonyaHardio Drone. Congratulation ! You beat the competition successfully without competition, without innovation. You are the master of politics, you know how to be a player and referee at the same time. Everyone shall learn from you
The narrator claims it can stream video to the cloud so others can watch, but the print at the bottom of the screen says it will be available in the future. smdh
I cannot wait to have the privilege of owning a Slydio drone. I'm so glad to see a U.S. company setting the bar higher and higher. Skydio has once again shown just what is possible with a quadcopter. Amazing work as always!!
SkyDio would rather pay lobbyists to have their competitors eliminated than spend $ on innovation. This company played themselves and won’t be around in 5 years because of it.
Skydio has paid cash to get all our dji stuff banned from the us. This is a bad, greedy company that cannot compete in a free market. What you have done is shameful. Do not support skydio.
You know it’s a dang shame when you purchase a 20k drone and the company that sales you the drone doesn’t explain that flight deck is another 11k until after you receive the drone. If we would have known this we probably wouldn’t have went with X10.
Stop screwing over the entire country by trying to force your garbage tech. You can’t compete with DJI, so you destroy the industry? Your executives are exactly what is wrong with business in the United States today.
Anyone else notice how Skydio blocks comments on all of their videos? Maybe it’s because they’re tired of everyone calling them out on their BS. They have garbage tech and are now willing to tank the entire drone industry in the United States to try to kick out the best tech in the industry. They bribe politicians in the name of “lobbying” to push xenophobic lies to try to kick DJI out.
@@petercyr3508 Dragon was originally designed and built to make a soft landing on firm ground. NASA pushed them to go with water landing. Quite an easy lift for them with thier perfection of modern generation reusable vehicles.
Those night sense sensors is a terrible idea yes I understand there's no other way to use these type of sensors without infrared light but friend and foe can see ir lights with analog image intensifier and cheap digital night devices i could be wrong and the ones for military probably are out of band ones meaning that they can't be seen most night vision devices but because these guys are scummy , desptive ,greedy, xenophobic to competition based on fear mongering and lies plus hateful to there loyal supporters who help get them to were they are now I won't be surprised if this company disappears into non existence .
Or, you know, just buy a DJI and get a better drone for the fraction of the price... or more like, even BE ABLE to get a drone. If you wanna spend a bunch, just go and get a DJI M30/300T, which blows this out of the water. Not even on the same planet. People would be willing to buy American drones if they cost a little more than DJI, if they were actually BETTER. But the american ones feel like the cheap chinese knockoffs, and are like 5x overpriced. This is like the first American drone ive seen that is actually acceptable, and id be willing to even use. But only if it was around the same price point as DJI, and i could actually be able to BUY IT.
