This park seems poorly designed and a terrible use of tax money of any sort. 4 tennis courts. How many millionaires do you think live in this town. How many of the 70 percent of the poor people In the town play tennis. We have baseball fields. The world series thinks its good enough why can't you. Also this park can only be open what 6 or 8 months a year. We also already have a very large trail to walk with historical significance added to it. There are parks all over town. What will happen to those. They will become run down and forgotten. We as a town do not have the money for a large park that while open 8 months a year will only be used 3 mo the during the summer. Of which qhy not work with say falling branch and further develope their recreation area and use it in the summer only

I've looked at that downtown park, it's SMALL. Is there room enough to put all the things in there that are in that drawing, and still have the playground? That land is all on an uphill incline, it would take a lot of work to level for vendors to be able to set up booths, and for many folks to be able to navigate it. And once it's leveled, then retaining walls will have to be built to hold back the land at the Summit and Library properties. That could lead to damage to those properties that the town would be responsible for. If there is anything going on at the armory, then that is going to eat up the parking spaces. Moving the market defeats the purpose of trying to build and promote downtown, which has already been heavily invested in.
