I am the Plume. I love goats. I post long, endless videos of them. Because I love them. Mia's Facebook page: facebook.com/CutestGoatEver See you in another life, brother
So, if you try to step in front of Luna and/or Bella to let Sky in--they just go after you, too? I just want to give little Sky a big hug! Love them all, but wanting to bop the youngsters to remind them to respect their elders. Luckily, you are there.
If you mean "go after me" like in headbutting me or pushing me, then no they don't. But it's pretty impossible to keep two goats from going where tehy want, unless you close all the doors. They will get by me. Unless I stand there forever, but then I won't be able to give Sky any attention anyway. Sometimes I close the one door between the bedroom and the room next to it, makes it a little easier if Bella and Luna in one room. But the hatch is open so they can still go out and come into the other room. The problem is that they also want to spend time with me. I can't just tell them to wait their turn. Haha. It gets complicated. But I make sure Sky gets her time. Just takes some effort.
It is exactly as you said. Your camera captured all the drama. Bell taking Sky's food dish, then putting her hoof on Sky and chasing her off the tub she was resting on. Sky looks shocked, scared, confused and hurt. Your extra attention to Sky is definitely helping her get thru this. She needs to know that she has a strong ally in you. It's always good to know that someone has your back. It will help her regain her self-confidence. Sky was more mature and was much gentler when she held the power. Belle is young and excited to have taken the position of top goat. So, she is rough and demanding as she pushes Sky around. Young ones always mishandle power. Poor littler goat girl.
I definitely have Sky's back. Love her so Much. I will do my best to make sure she is still happy. It's harde to see her having to run away. But we will have to adjust.
Sky is so gentle as she puts her hoof on your leg asking for a little more petting and attention, please. This older goat is a lady and shows her manners in the way she asks for attention. Even if she uses her head and horns to remind you that she is here and waiting for a little more attention, she gently pushes her forehead into your chest. No rude slamming of horns into you like the two younger gray ladies. Those two play a rough and tumble game with you in the middle. Do the kids bruise you when they slam their horns into you?
The others don't bruise me, they may have a little more youthful energy, but they aren't pushy. Sky is super sweet and gently though, I love how she will keep nudging me until I give her more cuddles. She's a sweetheart.
I'm sorry--is there some sort of theatrical production coming up that may require a flapping fowl? Wasn't that (I'm trying to remember the names!) Red Sonja flapping across the view finder while you were preparing breakfast? I think there may be a star right there! And I do believe the goats all approved of the log-lugging! A small mountain to conquer with a built-in scratching log that can be chewed on when necessary. Well done!
Such a nice sunny day to goat sit your babies. Munchie treats, naps in the sun as the goats relax and let you stroke them and hold them while they doze. This was a quiet, gentle, relaxing day with the goats. Thank You
Takeaways from the video: 1) It's wonderful that mealtimes are inclusive because chickens need to eat, too! 2) Never be offended by Sky yawning in one's face. [and] 3) Let's not disturb goats sunning themselves!
You are a good man with the animals, I respect you and salute you from Mexico. My wife and I are happy because you are living our dream so please be kind as always, the goats love you!
It's so nice to watch you feed nothing but natural treats like fruits, vegetables, tree leaves or needles, and nuts to your goats. I see too many of my friends giving people food and sugar treats and candies to their goats. You do what is best for your goats to stay healthy and happy. Thank you so much for doing that for them.
Thank you, I just want the goats to be happy and healthy, they mean the world to me. And they love all the healthy treats so there's no reason to give them anything else!
