Did you do anything to the ends where each board meets the other? I was expecting to see a seam, but I can hardly tell. Each slat looks like one large piece of wood that goes from one end of the ceiling to the other.
Glad you removed it. Wall paper no matter if it’s vintage or modern looks ugly and cheap in my opinion, wood planks, textured walls or other decorative options are way better and look valuable 😊

You should lay one of the corner blocks on 2 sides the other way to allow for some airflow from the bottom, it'll help reduce the lingering smoke. All in all looks good
At the very start of the video you apparently had a mirror sitting right beside the front, I thought this was a hole in the wall leading to another room. I actually had to rewind the video to double check it.

I fell bad removing the old wall paper in the new house. It was so well cared for and loved by the previous owner. Ok Ok the border in the laundry room of 1940s movie posters like mulon rouge and Olympia can stay!
vinegar (or fabric softener) and water is an old wives tail..... use warm water with some washing up liquid, the soap makes the water stick and soak in. it also will help clean down the wall too.
