Not once was the true reason why anybody throws with elite speed was given. The reason for elite velocity in overhead throwers is the same reason for any pop performance for ballistic athletic actions. The difference in percentage of type 1 slow twitch muscle fiber vs fast twitch 2 a & b. It's purely genetic.
He does not use his lower body and has erratic control. He has similar talent to Paul Skenes, so some teams think they can refine Brecht to become a diminant stsrter or closer. He will get drafted in the first round in July but i am concerned that with how much effort he putches with, thst will lead to injuries. I would develop him slowly and hammer on his mechanics. He has great talent and would be further ahead if he was at an ACC or SEC school, instead of Iowa. He did improve this season in terms of cutting his walks and increasing his strikeout to walk ratio
This is nonsense due to lack of physics know-how. What you call the pushing action can be used to increase arm speed. Instead of designating this as pushing in fact, when the elbow leads the forearm arm speed is increased via 3rd Class leverage of the humerus (upper arm) by converting power generated at the shoulder (fulcrum) into speed of the lever. Hence, all that attaches forward of the elbow - forearm, hand and fingers reaches maximum speed.
It’s crazy that anyone other than you could possibly have any “physics know-how.” If you watch and listen to the video carefully, nowhere do I suggest that the elbow does not lead the forearm, or that the arm is anything other than a third class lever in this scenario, but rather it’s a matter of the palate the arm moves through and the timing of elbow extension
Hi There, I hope you are well. I was analysing your RU-vid channel. Though your video quality is so good, your video doesn't gain much views & subscribers because of the problems mentioned: Your video overview is not optimized perfectly. Your video social engagements are not up to the mark. Your videos have no SEO friendly title optimization. Your videos have no SEO friendly description optimization. Your videos have no High Volume Ranked Tags according to your niche. Overall your video SEO score is not up to the mark. If you can fix these problems your channel will grow very fast & definitely your videos will get more views. Can I help you ? Thank You.
They allow you to specifically train a ROM, they have an analgesic effect, and they can be progressed or not, but isometrics are a great starting point
Hey, I am trying out for a baseball picture this season. I am 13 and was wondering if you have any tips on how to get my pitching speed up. Any tips will help and also what is a easy or somewhat easy pitch that you think I could do? If it helps I'm 5'6 right handed
@@moshegraves3514 I've seen the video you're talking about. You're elbow is always going to lead slightly, but the keyword here is "slightly". The issue comes when you start leading with it so much, that it becomes a more tricep driven move than a pull from the pec. Hopefully that makes a little bit of sense.
Nice breakdown of his mechanics. A question: a knock against Brecht has been his command. Is there anything you detect in his delivery that can be tweaked to improve his command?
