To be fair he was comfortable with the shots he was taking and took them well. Good marksmanship in a pretty intense environment. Had he not taken them what could of been the outcome? You have a split second to decide
They took them to the place where the lion was hiding. They showed them where it was. They provided them with a support for the weapon, so that they didn't even get their knees dirty. They shot at about 25 meters with a .416 Rigby caliber that develops 6400 joules of power. I really don't understand where the challenge of that hunt would be.
Once you are here, on foot with a big lion, you'll understand. Also, it's not about the hunter, it's about the good that is done with the funds raised.
been to a f rica a few times war mostly you cant compare the blacks inthe united states to africans ,african people are full of joy happy to be alive they are amazing people the best of people not like american blacks
The buffalo are on the near threatened list. Why are they hunting them? The realization that we, as humans, are the stewards of this Planet and the wildlife here. The days of the "Great White Buana" hunter are over. ( Yes I'm Caucasian) There is NO need to hunt 420,000 buffalo are being raised commercially, so you can get buffalo meat from the market. Why don't these enthusiastic hunters go after Pickery? ( Domesticated Pigs which are feral) The wild pigs in Texas alone do $2,000,000,000 in damage to crops and property yearly. Now that would be a worthwhile effort. As for the Buffalo, the North American Bison? In 1920 there were only 300 Buffalo left on the planet. We U.S. Citizens nearly hunted them to extinction. Haven't we learned anything? The North American Timber Wolf which stood seven hands high at the shoulder and weighed on average 180 lbs. Now EXTINCT. The North American Carrier Pigeon which would eclipse the sunlight due to the flocks being so dense, because of hunting, now EXTINCT. I'm no green freek but When will we learn? Ever? Even our ancestors only hunted out of need. Like the "Midnight Oil" song says "How can we dance while our Earth is turning? How can we sleep while our beds are burning?" Shalom.
Thank you for a very detailed comment. Because you put so much effort into this, I will return the courtesy tomorrow when I'm back in the office. Good night!
As an animal lover myself surprisingly I agree with this There are many lions in the world and too many is dangerous how many lion are their in the world But very close to endangered 23,000-39,000 I agree those lions deserve better but do they really? They only killed a few so it’s ok. But why didn’t anti-poaching stop you? I know it’s not poaching but why would they not? Also the way you made it look like you were stronger than the lion was disrespectful.
Human/wildlife conflict is a big reason that lion numbers are declining in some areas. With controlled hunting programs the conflict can be better managed and a lot of good can come from it, for both human and wildlife. No disrespect was intended. Can you tell me what bothered you?
What the hell is this ?? Insene people ... If these people have that capacity then come to our sundarban... There balls will shrink .. will see how big hunters they are ...
The government isn't silent, it's all approved and controlled by the relevant government and nature conservation department. Hunting forms the backbone of conservation here in Africa.
He agrees! I do believe it's explained in the video description, I'll go and check. Summary: The airline lost most of his luggage, including the quiver. We eventually found another to use.
Great shot man. Though, it's not easy to do this as lions can be pretty nasty and may attack if threatened. The elephant population in Southern Africa is increasing and wildlife stakeholders, wildlife rangers & conservationists are seen a major concern in their increasing numbers. In Hwange, there are about 54,000 elephants, In South Africa's Kruger it's 32,000 , In Botswana it's around 136,870 & Namibia it's 27,340 . Though, some conservationists claim that in Kruger it may have increased to 85,000 but in certain individual areas . Many people have been misinformed. The African elephant is not an endangered species. It's not going extinct. Many are not even aware of this & think numbers are all that matters. When it comes to conservation, many people overlook at one major detail : the carrying capacity. The elephants have destroyed a number of tree species in the park & this incident has occurred in Hwange park.(Zimbabwe). I ultimately believe that a huge no of elephants (beyond the carrying capacity) can convert a national park to a desert . Elephants are massive mega sized herbivores that are heavily dependant on fresh water during the dry season & the breeding herd is the one that tends to suffer the most as they can't get any nutritious leaves to feed on and produce enough milk for their calves. As much as the elephant population has increased, my biggest concern is the carrying capacity. You know , many people all over the world are expecting the elephants numbers to be 56 million, 89 million , 100 million, 150 million , 300 million ,580 million or even 700 million through conservation but if you look at the spaces in most Southern African reserves, it's actually shrinking like hell. There's no way , Africa can hold such huge numbers & if it had such huge no , it means, conservationists will have to create bigger spaces which is damn expensive and it cannot be done by one person but rather an organization. But if conservation efforts were to pay off, Africa can at least manage with 1.2M or 1.4M elephants from my perspective but even still, that's a large population that needs to be broken down to smaller populations. Half of that population, let's say , 350k in SA , 185k in East Africa and 107k in West Africa. And that's where , hunting comes in. The biggest old prime males are usually that are taken . Despite poaching been a major concern, overpopulation is clearly not the best way of increasing the elephant numbers.
This is extremely well explained, thank you for taking the time to comment. Most places where you find Elephant, you will find too many. The destruction they cause to the habitat is sad, and nobody cares. They are causing other specie numbers to go down, but nobody cares. Thanks again for taking the time to post this comment.
Buffalo Bill’ what have you done today? Old Buffalo 🐃 Bill’ That was swashbuckling Buffalo riding your ass was on today! Yep 👍the ride of a lifetime! From Buffalo Bill
For the 1st few seconds I thought he rode the Buffalo to get it out of there yet the audacity his friend I imagine was probably thinking was “I’m going to get my kill, it’s ok my friend understands “
А в чем он молодец? Взял застрелил животное как в тире если бы он как массаи победил его с копьем еще можно было назвать его мужчиной как принято в этом племени а так ты просто сделал убийство
Excellent hunts! That lodge along the gorge is beautiful with breathtaking views. Camera work is is by far one of the best in the hunting safari videos.
It's not that easy. Where would you relocate them to, and who will pay for that? The vigger question is what will happen to the land and habitat after you move these lions?
