Virtual academy containing videos about refractive surgery, keratoconus and corneal topography created by Mazen Sinjab. This channel is educational, aiming at training ophthalmologist in these three main field of ophthalmology and more disciplines in the future.
Went for a routine eye check up for my son his corneal diopter is 47.2 and has got summetric bow tie astigmatism.. he has corneal thickness of 572 so doctor told its nothing to worry about he is different not defective but iam so worried
Hi dr thank you for this helpfull presentation i have one question : why do we have to look to zernike coma map ? Is there any relation between refractive surgery and coma ?
Your classes are always very useful and important, thank you very much Dr. Sinjab. Dr Sinjab, could you make a video where you talk more about parameters of MS39, please.
Nice and informative lecture. The term 'cupping' was mistakenly introduced in the 1850s. However, it was eventually adopted which then gave birth to a cupping paradigm. The original cups of various sizes from 0.00 to 0.9 are actually the central meniscus of Kuhnt which lie superficially on the nerve fiber layer of the disc, and has no relevance to glaucoma.
This was very informative. I'm not an optician or a doctor but I am a programmer and I have recently become interested in trying to simulate human vision after I got diagnosed with Myopia. I have been reading some textbooks online to understand this stuff but there are a few details I still don't understand, primarily with the units of measurement used. Would you mind if I ask you some of the questions I have? At this point I can calculate the Wavefront Error of my eye and convert it into a Point Spread Function, but unfortunately it's not to scale. Once I understand the units of measurement involved I should be able to convolve the PSF with images to see how my sight changes at different distances and with my pupil dilated to different sizes.
