Over the past 3 years I have been buying and selling a wide variety of machinery from push mowers , ride on’s , quads , UTV’s , tractors and the odd car here and there.... Basically anything with an engine I will buy it !! Not one to shy away from a challenge , so whenever there is an opportunity to buy something that’s a bit worse for wear , it brings great satisfaction to give something a new lease of life . I also own a Rangerover L322, and abseloutly love it !
As an Engineer, I cannot understand why you would need a plan to conduct a car service unless you don't know how to do it in which case you get a professional mechanic to service it for you ..............simple logic

No it didn’t cut out on me , I just came to start it after stopping for a coffee and wouldn’t go just spinning over like it was dry . So I primed it on the key a good few times and fired up and not had the problem since 👍
Glad you got it all sorted in the end. They definitely knew they had messed up when they heard the recorded conversation 😂 Also the TD6's have a common problem with the lift pump in the fuel tank failing and the high pressure fuel pump. Sounds like your lift pump is on its way out. Buzzing for another video from you even if it was a short one. Keep on grafting 👊
Yeah , I had the conversation recorded myself but once they listened to their own it was a change of tune ! Yeah it could well be , over 200k on her now . Appreciate that 👊
What an absolute mess. At least in the end, you. aren't out of pocket, but the inconvenience of not being able to trust the system of card payments makes business a lot harder.
I’m really surprised the Police did anything I was burgled a year ago whilst I was in hospital, the neighbours witnessed the guy driving my car away and he came back to the flat a couple of times I passed on all the info to the Police and they closed the case without questioning anyone who witnessed it No faith in the system at all
Ironically, action fraud is the biggest fraud in the uk legal system. they do nothing, it just a data collection exercise outsourced to a US private company
Mate I had same thing when sold a car 3 months later wanted money back as said car had problems 3 months later said was going take me court credit debt company was going get involved to colloct money etc I said fine I'll fight you all way if goes Pete tong have 50punds off me a month bollocks to them
Im a small business like you. I do cc payments over the phone all the time. I put a $$ limit on over the phone payments. If the customer is not happy with a bank transfer for a larger amount or an in person card transaction done through my machine itself. I let the sale slide. Yes I’ve been done similar to you but it was a smaller amount. It sucks!!

Good Lad.. Well done. That's sound advice you gave. Stop the direct debit.. Wasn't you who got scammed was them. Too right. You worked hard for your money.. The financial institutions seem very reluctant to do everything they can to prevent fraud. When someone tries to scam me, and I ask them for their bank account details to make payment, however there is no easy way to contact the bank branch and report to them that one of their customers bank accounts is being used for fraudulent activities. It would be so easy for them to provide a form or email, but they provide nothing.
I had an experience with a camera kit, the buyer sent an "Official Bank Check" that eventually bounced. I went to the bank to deposit it and asked about shipping the items, the Bank Clerk told me that it will show in 24 hours if there's a problem. I waited to ship the kit and the next day the check was flagged as a problem. In the meantime, I purchased a replacement with the posted deposit and went to the bank to discus the issue. The Bank Manager was of no help and I simply made sure there was next to nothing in the account, I've never heard another word.
So if someone does not report a stolen/lost card for say 11 days,thats eleven days of legit sales being made, shops not aware and banks not aware! ok perhaps the card holder had a good excuse not to report. i do not have any banking apps at on my phones,being 65 yrs i do not trust them. i rely on the banks callig me ,not me falling for some phone scame!!!!
Your own little test although good is not great.all they do is do another transaction to check that iffy card as been flagged. you did all you could and let down by the bigger companys
Heard plenty of stories from people who've done this, been scammed when selling a car. They've installed an air tag and been able to trace it and Police have refused to go to the location the trackers pinging from. Absolute joke
Horryfying ! The amount of info and effort you provided them because you had your suspicions - yet they were not interested in supporting you. They could have easily sorted the legitamacy of the card the guy used. It's a total failure by the industry as a whole to support their customers. Their attitude promotes crime.
Whilst you video is informative and can warn others to protect their well being there's an issue that needs attention. I don't want to unnecessarily criticise you but I want to bring to your attention some concerns regarding your driving during this broadcast. I noticed many times you were driving without your hands on the wheel and on one occasion had one hand behind your seatbelt while driving. This kind of behavior is not only a traffic offense but also a serious safety risk. If you were to be involved in an accident, particularly one where someone could be injured or worse, the focus wouldn't be on your personal or professional matters. Safety must always come first. I speak from experience, as I was hit by a car as a child and spent six months in the hospital with a fractured skull. The consequences of unsafe driving are real and can be devastating. I urge you to keep both hands on the wheel and remain fully focused when driving. Emotionally charged videos can wait until you're safely parked. Your attention to the road is important for your safety and the safety of others.
Commonwealth Bank in Australia rang me and said that I had put money into an investment scam and they would try to recover my money. They froze my credit card account for ten months and then said that they don't do charge backs if you put money into an investment account even if it is a scam, unbelievable.
This is what it is like now since Covid no one can be bothered to do anything. Everything someone else’s problem. Everything is not my department… I mean innocent party everything becomes their fault
I've been stung like this but years ago. it's because it's a non secure transaction and they do a chargeback which is very easy, when i sell items now and someone will collect i say to the person whoever collects give them the card and the pin number or do one, when the card is presented and the pin is entered you get to keep the money end of
