I wanted to give him a fair chance. Like lets see what he is about. Comedy is subjective and there are lot of people doing parodies of each other. But his material was so unintelligent. Each sentence could have been so much more funnier with some different words or a different tone. People who really like him, give me a link of what you think is his best work cuz I really dont wanna go through another video like this one.
She is hilarious! It is her life and she is telling her story! Better than sitting around wallowing in self pitty! I adore her! People should not perpetuate anything damn thing because each ethnicity has terrible people and things happen that can be stereotypical!
So everybody commenting on these Andy Kindler videos is a disgruntled fan of comedians Kindler has insulted. I'm also guessing that they don't get Kindler's act, which is all about irony and timing. It's kind of a mock 80s hack comic combined with a borscht belt thing. People take themselves so seriously Jesus Christ.
+Sean G Pretty sure everyone understands his act. It's not a difficult thing to comprehend. It's possible to fully 'get' what he's doing and still think he stinks on ice. He's not doing anything mind-blowing. By the way, he's been doing the same thing for thirty years. He is awful. Maybe you should stop taking Andy Kindler so seriously, because he's not a genius doing something innovative or erudite. These are the best jokes he can write, and he needs his ironic and meta crutches to make himself seem deeper.

This is pretty good stuff. I want to hear what he's going to say next and that's entertainment. None of us were appointed to dictate what people, people find funny.
Actually, the expression gets thrown out there because 1.) a lot of his material deals with the comedy biz, and 2.) he doesn't appeal to a large audience for whatever reason so fans naturally want to try and explain that somehow. It's the same thing with "writer's writers", and I can likewise think of quite a few brilliant authors (e.g. Bolaño) off the top of my head who similarly get labelled that way. Anyways, I think Kindler is hysterical!
Just saw this guy last night. Couldn't stop laughing, it was almost embarrassing how loud. Oh man he has come a long way. You should check out his website. He really has worked on the timing of his jokes and it makes a big difference.
