Last series were $20 & I had a blast opening these. The checklist was way better last year & it seems u got more red novas too. The micro motions are sweet
Great to see this set and congrats on the hits! I haven't seen these in retail stores yet in Texas. I'm not a huge fan of beginnings so I will live vicariously through videos like yours!
Interesting set, I was super excited by the Viv Vision card. I noticed Nadia van Dyne on the box, so if you open more of these I hope you manage to pull her.
I opened 3 blasters and only received 1 yellow per box. I ordered 3 more last week which should arrive this week. Let me ask a question: I sent Upper Deck 28 Platinum cards to replace. 4 months later they sent me a package with 5 numbered cards. One of the cards was a 1/1 black printing plate of Black Cat. Any idea of its value? TIA!
A black printing plate is an amazing replacement, congrats! Was it a plate from Platinum? Valuations are tough on those, it can vary wildly based on character. Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, etc. can fetch very high prices. Black Cat isn't top tier but she is a solid character, and I would expect the black plate to be the best one to get. You can try to look for comps on similar characters or the same character but other color plates (cyan, magenta, yellow). Check eBay completed and active, COMC, and 130point.com which has historical eBay sales past what eBay shows on their site.
Hi, i bought my first 8-pack booster box from CH4. The cards look really cool and i am all for it to start collecting more, though it seems like the app hasn’t added CH4 cards? I can scan them but not see them anywhere. Do you know why by any chance? I hope they didn’t stop supporting this project
If you are in the mobile app scroll down to the Season 2023 section and tap Hybrid. At the top scroll right to Chapter 4. On the web app the filter is in a dropdown. Sets have slowed down but Hro are still releasing new things this year. There is a new smaller DC vs Vampires set debuting at SDCC next week.
I just got a box the other day. cool cards. Did the Show Andor improve in a second season, I just keep hearing people say how good it is, I could not make it all the way thru the first season, did not like it. so is it into a season two or something that got better?
Storage for these sets is a struggle. My latest attempt for this set is to penny sleeve in Cardboard Gold Thick Card sleeves, and then put in the Rayvol Card Binder for 55PT cards. www.amazon.com/dp/B0CN6DRGZV That one has a zipper and the pages are clear so you can see the back. It's marketed as 55pt but these Marvel 80pt will fit. I don't think you can load up the full binder though.
@@jstsumguy29 standard penny sleeves are fine, that's what I used on my Fleer Ultra Avengers cards. Slightly cutting one side of the opening makes it easier to insert. If you don't want to cut a slit on your sleeve, then just purchase the next size up. As for top loaders, 100pt works for these thicker types of cards
It does! I like the Ultra Stars a lot, and am hoping I can collect them. But with 50 total and what looks like a small production run it might be expensive.
Obviously Upper Deck knew I'd be watching so they made sure you got some great X-23 cards :D Admittedly not the biggest fan of the Kalman Andrasofszky art used (the orange background with Jubilee and Laura), but hey, more X-23 is always good. A Daken was a surprise, but it means most of the Wolverine family is in that box.

I like the canvas this year, so much better than last years pin striped version. Just about to come out on Epack now and I hope they do something different from last years magentas and greens.
These were exclusive extras provided to the backers of the Kickstarter campaign "Joe Jusko's Art of the 1992 Marvel Masterpieces by FPG". If you are hunting for them you'd have to check marketplaces like eBay or various collector communities.
Man shit sucks. Dude gets to buy these at $20 each and I can’t even find one box in stores. But on the app for one box it’s like $40 a box damn resellers ruin everything in the hobby.
@@icollectthings If that is the only hit, that box is an outlier of duds. This has to be the most hit heavy set I've seen. Maybe I got a hot case but this set is incredible with offering hits all around. The only challenge is getting the hit of a character you want. Art is incredible though so it's a small complaint.
I pulled a yellow foil Wolverine and some other yellow numbered parallels out of some blasters some gold greatest battles and some other ones outta 5 blaster boxes but no major hits. Super addictive had to order 5 more blaster boxes. 9 yellow numbered cards out of 5 blaster boxes. Average 2 yellow cards per box.
I absolutely love these cards! Huge wolverine fan! I really wish I got a lil more for $35 a blaster, but I'm ordering mine right now! Nice video. A few nice cards too!
Any Deadpool base or parallel would be considered a hit to if you think about it. I've bought three hobby boxes total so far, and I've only been able to hit one of each of two versions out of the three boxes.
@@icollectthings The only thing im worried about is if the Deadpool Wolverine movie comed out and is extremely goos than the prices might skyrocket on the hobby boxes and may become harder to find. Its happened with Spiderman Metal.
@jonathanlupfer5262 Off the top of my head I got a Wolverine #84 not the #1 card a team allegiance with Wolverine, dazzle, a greatest battles , toad, and some other ones I can't remember.
Great to see the contents of these blaster boxes! From all of the ones I've seen up to this point it looks like 1 yellow base and 1 yellow alias is standard for the majority of boxes. Not bad considering they are out of 90. I managed to grab a gold ultra stars Bishop from one of my hobby boxes, it's on standard card stock as well (not the thick) following the same trend as FUA.
@@icollectthings Thank you! I hope to be helpful and not a know it all by sharing the info on the golds. I really appreciate your math there at the end, it's super interesting to think that there's a limited blaster run for this set. It makes sense to me given I've only seen these available through upper deck and none of the other places I'd normally purchase from online. I've got a feeling these yellow parallels alone may just make a blaster box worth it for some.

I've seen the contents of 7 blaster boxes so far, 3 of them being my own (2 here 1 off camera). Out of those 7, 6 boxes had two Yellows and 1 box had one Yellow. Do you think 2ish Yellow Foils will hold true for the entire run, or is it a fluke with early blaster shipments?
A little low on Laura this time :( That Mystique was amazing though, and I liked seeing the X-Force (from the third series, IIRC) artwork.. I forget if you pulled a Scout last time, but it seems like it doesn't have all that many Wolverine cards in it. I don't think you've pulled a Daken on his own if at all, and I don't think there'll even be a Jonathan card.
I think Scout / Gabby is left out of the set, I don't see her on the checklist or on my cards. Maybe she's on an X-23 insert though, I haven't seen them all. Daken gets one base card and then several inserts. I would have liked to have seen Cyber included in the base set. But he at least got one of the Jambalaya spots.
@@icollectthings That's a bit of a shame considering it's a Wolverine set. You think they could have put more directly related characters in over characters like Puck.
