LOL what the heck are you talking about...maybe in the past..but NYC is just a shit show now.. You can't even compare to Dubai .. they have standards there
Modern building these days are horrible to look at with no character. Take a look at centuries old buildings , they have artistic and character that is not just the function or the look but the sense of atmosphere which is completely lacking of today's ugly and not memorable buildings
Gotta thank the comments for saving my time. Skimmed through, and definitely seems like AI. Better to just go find another video on city design by a real person.
Oh really Sherlock? Of course there is an agenda. Infrastructure = more efficient and profitable economy. And the transporte infrastructure they are buildkng around the world will be the base for their economy after One Belt One Road is finished. Also BRICS will be driven by this.
I think the floodgates are begging to start opening: -Brightline Florida is killing it -Brightline West (LA to Vegas) will be a massive success, opening in just 4 years -Northeast corridor improvements are coming (new Baltimore + NYC tunnels, new trains) -Texas HSR (Dallas-Houston) ooks like it is moving forward which will be huge -California is upgrading commuter lines in SF and LA which will be big The key ingredient missing is the connections to local Transit once you arrive at your destination. In Europe or Asia if you arrive at any HSR stop the onwards connections to Subway, Streetcar or even bus networks are far stronger than most US cities.
This video was a whole load of talking and absoslutely no thought provoking points made at all, the AI generated images are just distracting and terrible and the AI narration felt so artificial.
@@chomikxd3 People don't need to confuse us with a literal animal? It can be Turkiye and nobody would care. They are nearly the same words, but one is not an ANIMAL.
All these flashy megaprojects but no housing for average working class people. Goes to show that people will move mountains to build grand luxury buildings but all that enthusiasm is totally gone when it comes to what people actually NEED.
You forgot to mention the 'ecological' , 'sustainable' Forest City project (that was built, oh irony, on vulnerable wetlands) in Malaysia, just off Singapore .. Built by Chinese developer with skyscrapers with luxury apartments, golf courts ets for 700k or may be a million people. Costs over $100 billion, residents 8-9k (who work there at maintaining) . Well maybe in the future people might live there..
I think they're thinking of it wrong, a trench is far better than a cone or square, more like a canyon, and really, central open core skyscrapers are already basically what an earth scraper would be, trench would have better views and more sky
I hope your script was made by AI. All the information in your video seems to come from one website, which is not thorough research. Did you verify the examples by googling them? With just a few clicks, I found the following: "The Earthscraper / BNKR Arquitectura": This concept was presented for a competition in 2009 but never progressed beyond that stage and is not ongoing. Singapore is not building an "Earthscraper" but is creating more underground space for infrastructure to provide more room above ground for the population. This idea for housing might be considered or possible around 2050. New York Lowline: Their website states, "In 2018, The Lowline Board voted to temporarily pause its core operations and aims to restart the project in partnership with the City of New York in the years ahead." Additionally, their test project was stopped the year before. Underground City, Montreal: It still exists but has faced frequent structural problems both underground and above ground since 2007. While it may require fewer resources to build initially, it becomes more expensive to maintain in the long run. You are welcome.
