Brings me, 60 years old, back to my early 20s. We had two disco, how clubs were called that time, one where the girls were prettier and the other one where to music was better. The Human League was played in the first one - even so I like that song very much.

A wonderful composer of electronic music 70's/80's, too underestimated in the musical world for my taste. His strongly anthemic and heady scores for cinema, are quite the weight compared to geniuses like Vangelis, J.M. Jarre, Jan Hammer or Tangerine Dream!
This single charted in the U.K. and was slated to be featured on the show _Top_ _of_ _the_ _Pops_ which required a video. The band hated doing videos, and no one could think of what they could quickly do for this song. Someone suggested that they just run toward the camera, so that's what they did. As it turned out, that only resulted in capturing like 20 seconds of footage, so they just slowed it down to match the length of the song, and "done".
Kanami is absolutely the Einstein of music. E=mcPo. Miku is the Shakespeare of lyrics. They are all prodigies of their respective instruments and vocals. That these five different ladies got together became best of friends and gave us some of the best music is truly a miracle. There may be others technically better than each of them but none are better with their musicality and songwriting proficiency. MISA plays like no other, Akane plays like no other. Kanami plays like no other, and together they craft music like no other. And we are so fortunate to live in these times.
So Billy said in an interview the name mayonaise stands for the phonetics of my own eyes. Also those sweet squeals or whistles you hear in the song came from this cheap guitar he bought where the pickups would whistle everytime he stopped playing so they incorporated it into the song. One of my favorite songs.
It's about the band continuing without their missing band member and discarding the legacy of past in order to move forwards. That's my view of it anyway. Nicky Wire said it's about the state of the NHS under Margaret Thatcher,'s Tory government, but I'm pretty certain he was being facetious and mocking the image of them as only about politics. You never can tell though.
Hello I'm Galloping Gargoyles. I must admit it is long, and repetitive, and without vocals it becomes almost unfinished, but I do appreciate you reacting. The symbol is connected to Aleister Crowley, who created a mystic religion. I'm atheist but usually like dark gothic metal lol I just liked it lol. My music is very diverse, and I do have tracks with vocals. 'Winter II' you'd never believe it's the same artist, but I think I've put you off from reacting to any more lol. Though, if you can give me a second chance, with 'Winter II' that's hot vocals and less than 4 minutes I'd be thrilled. Thanks again x

This was The Manics big step into the main stream and first album since songwriter Richey Edwards disappeared/committed suicide. They were much more a punk aesthetic hyper politically charged beforehand and became more alternative rock (while retaining political lyrics). This was their biggest album and don't think there is a bad song on it. Personally I think if their following album had been as great they would have become rock mega superstars.
@@benabel7326 IMO I really like the different musical styles they have tried over the years so I am glad they didn’t do another similar EMG album and instead changed their musical style to be different from previous albums. Stranglers received similar criticism when they softened their sound but some ppl including myself liked that style. Can’t please everyone all the time is probably the main point. TIMTTMY was their most commercially successful album and is really underrated I feel by some fans
His nerves were actually “fried” by neuropathy linked with long suffering from untreated Lyme’s disease and pretty sure he did beg doctors for a lobotomy at one point. He goes through the story of his sickness in his Chapters on @RenMakesStuff. Worth checking out.
