Why does the oxygen sensor degrade faster than those for other gases? It would be because when purging (rinsing) with atmospheric air, it contains oxygen, but not the other gases. In summary: does the presence of oxygen for long periods of time make the oxygen sensor degrade faster? Thanks for the excellent videos.
what is the maximum pressure and lpm you can measure and put it through, like whta would happen if you try to go above 10 lpm to like 12 lpm for instance?
Thank You, I finally received your FD-91 RED Gas Leak Detector (Natural Gas/Methane). Dr. Koz's "Welcome" says "PDF user manuals are our website". Which website? I haven't been able to find them. Be kind, and make it simple for me, I will be 95 Fri, 8/30/24. Bob Landfield
I use something like this every day to avoid breathing second hand vape (for 2 years). Vape is a very bad form of air pollution and an irritant to a lot of people including myself. I use it mainly on public transport which is badly policed with regard to vaping as it is too easy to conceal. I have no problem with cigarette smoke, but one person vaping produces the same ultra-fine particles of 3,800 people smoking and it's those that cause the problems for me. Your exposure to vape is relative to the level and how long you breath it and it's very difficult to tell straight away if it's just at the level of 'smell' or 'exposure'. Ultrafine particles lodge deep in the chest and go straight into your bloodstream and every organ of your body. The only way I can stop it being a really bad problem for myself is to rinse my lungs and nasal passage in the shower every night. Smoking is way bad for the people doing it to themselves, but vaping is worse for everyone else.
Bough one last week due to sewer gas odor in garage pipes. Followed the directions & tried all settings. Not once did it register any reading & the odor was obvious. Disappointed & sent it back.
Does this detect only acidic vapors or gasses too? I'm asking this because acidic gasses can exist in both forms - as vapors in the moisture or as gasses. HCl for example can dissolve in the moisture in the air easily but in the case of low humidity, it remains in the gas form. Does the humidity need to be high for accurate measurement? Let's say we're in a relatively low humidity (40%) and there are high amounts SO2 and NO2 in the air, will this monitor measure the levels accurately?
oh if your PM2.5 and PM10 are 3 and 3 then you are in a very clean environment, indeed if PM2.5 is the same as PM10 it means that it is null, so you better try to NIST calibration! :-)
We appreciate your feedback on our Basic Multigas Detector 4 Gas Monitor video. We understand your frustration with the pacing, and we'll take this into account for future content. For those looking to quickly learn how to use the product, we've added timestamps in the video description for key sections. If you have any specific questions about usage, please feel free to ask, and we'll be happy to assist you directly.
Thank you for your input on our video Dangerous Garage Habits: Protect Your Home from Carbon Monoxide. You're right - not all homes in the US have their HVAC systems in the garage. This setup is less common, but it does exist in some regions or custom builds. Our video aims to cover a range of scenarios to help as many viewers as possible. However, we appreciate your feedback and will consider adding a note about this in future content. Remember, even without an HVAC system, garages can still pose carbon monoxide risks from cars, gas-powered tools, or other equipment. Stay safe!
@@samoime1955 typically 2- 3 years, you know they need to be replaced when, they cannot be calibrated, output voltage too low, bump testing not working, thanks
@@DrKozForensicsDetectors does it mean they have to be sent to calibration to detect if they are fine and how much does the replacement per sensor cost?
If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please let us help you with a return, refund, or exchange. All standard in-stock items can be returned for an exchange or refund within 30 days of the purchase transaction date. Please note, that gas detectors are a "perishable" item, so time is of the essence. The 30-day return window is strictly abided by. The 30 days return period is from the purchase transaction date to the date of explicit refund email request (not via phone, we require an email trail to eliminate any possible confusion). Items must be in new condition with all original packaging, casing, and accessories. We do accept international returns, however, please note, you will be responsible for return shipping costs and any other associated duties, fees, and import taxes. The refund will be processed within 48 hours after the physical product has been shipped and returned to Forensics Detectors. For refund status updates, please email sarah@forensicsdetectors.com.
The sensor must be replaced by the same sensitivity sensor, i.e. same range. So if the sensor being removed is 0-1000ppm, you MUST replace it with a 0-1000ppm sensor of the same gas type. The electronics with respect to front end signal conditioning and amplifier and accomodation for dynamic range is designed for that sensor range and type and no other.
@@DrKozForensicsDetectors so you say that there is hardware difference and no possibility to set the amplifier or dynamic range to more sensitive sensor for the same gas?
We appreciate your candid feedback on our video "Discover the Shocking Effects of Cigarette Smoke in Your Home". We understand your frustration with the visibility of the readings. You're right - clear visuals are crucial, especially when demonstrating important data like smoke levels. We'll take this feedback into account to improve future videos, ensuring that all readings are easily visible.

@@DrKozForensicsDetectors oh trust me I've dealt with it for a while now ,and police and fire Dept barely do anything , management doesn't either as they know them and absolutely the manager is in on it
@@DrKozForensicsDetectors they are manufacturing it, and the odors and chemical smells are horrible , burning, and they are using a gas to do it as well . A butane/freon or something
@@matthewmaxcy1574 Yes I believe you and you should believe me that about once per week, I will have somebody email me about this problem, I am seeing it more and more and it is VERY disturbing
Do these meters also go bad after 7 years, the same as the common household detectors? I assume they also use CO sensors, which supposedly go bad after around 7 years.
2 to 3 years max, these are low level ppm sensor in most cases. Home UL2034 CO detectors not as accurate in the low and hence price difference and also lifetime difference.
Much cheaper option are the detectors made for use in the cockpit of privately owned aircraft. The pilots shop at your local airfield should be able to supply.
