Welcome to the official Elbphilharmonie Hamburg RU-vid channel.
At the Elbphilharmonie, architecture and music merge to create a unique overall experience. Having first opened its doors in 2017, it has firmly established itself as one of the most popular concert halls in the world, delighting a broad audience with its diverse programme, outstanding acoustics and numerous participatory activities. The building, a converted warehouse positioned on the Elbe River, was designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. As a Hamburg landmark, it attracts millions of visitors each year. The Plaza, a public viewing platform located between the Elbphilharmonie’s brick base and the glass structure, offers spectacular 360° panoramic views of the port and city from a height of 37 metres above ground level.
Just thinking aloud.. “where are the girls?” Can I sign up Daisy? She’s 8, full of character, plays drums, piano, trumpet and could probably kick the ass of half of you lot! lol Only kidding. Not! 😅

Grazie e vivissimi complimenti 👏👏
@@ElbphilharmonieHamburg not good, they are sound too close and fake, DGG recorded live performance with microphone on the floor, it is more realistic. PS I am listening via huge NAIM system at home.
The glue 'perlleim' is a little smelly, but rather ingenious stuff for traditional woodmaking. Huge benefit: it's almost infinite repairable. with some water, a little heat and time, unlike modern glues.
A lovely interview. I am a big fan. If I may(without having heard Ms. Saunders concerto), what is your take or her take specifically on her concerto in the continuum of the piano concerto history, especially it being her first. It sounds like a novel and exciting piece. She alluded to Listzian passages in certain sections of the piece, so; what other composers influenced her ideas of the soundscape for this piece, if there are any? Anecdotally, I heard that after the high bar set by Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Brahms felt some trepidation with what to do with the form. He ended up writing a substantial amount of other stuff (chamber music) before adventuring his own symphony. Obviously, despite overwhelming expectations from German audiences in the wake of Beethoven's 9th it was a huge success. Brahms Symphony #1 aka Beethoven's 10th. Did Ms. Saunders have or feel any such pressure with creating this concerto? Thank you for all your posts.😀
