I just got one of these, and it also has a really loud buzz. I'll get it on the bench soon to work on it. The mains transformer just outputs 12v AC into a discrete bridge. I'll try replacing the AC filter caps. This machine was made during the height of the bad capacitor plague.
It’s crazy how chip from Minecraft, little big planet orb of dreamers, ice ice baby from vanilla ice, under pressure from queen, super freak from Rick James and u can’t touch this from Mc hammer

This was considered a toy even back then. They were probably £15 or £20 in the early 1980's. People are selling them for over £250 on eBay today 😂 I remember the rhythm being used in "SL2 - Way in my Brain (No Coke Mix)".
oh shit! can't believe it had an envelope on it. So it was more advanced than I remember. I never understood what it was at the time . That demo song 😂
When I grew up this was seen as toys and a bit cheesy but now I realise the only cheesy is the bad speakers representation of the sounds. I had a Casio SA something and it's irritating I cannot even remember what happaned to it.
