Really nice! I like your frequency counter, by the way. Any info on it? Living in Poland, I have decent access to cheap Soviet electronics - both parts and devices. Calculators, computer stuff, electronic instruments, test gear etc. I like showing it on my channel. Who knows, maybe I'll end up reverse-engineering some Soyuz stuff? Soviet electronic engineering varied a lot in quality, military/aerospace/scientific stuff was top notch while everyday electronics could be worse than shit, with Rubin TVs burning houses down faster than a hypothetical Aperture Science combustible lemon ever could. I'm planning to do an "Unholy Alliance" sort of project (yes, I'm an old RA2 fan), buying some HP Nixie driver modules and putting some IN-12B tubes there, and since those drivers already include counters, I could send an arbitrary number of pulses to display the number I need.
this is super awesome, maybe I’ll build one myself. The only issue I’m seeing here is the lack of shielding around the tube, they potentially emit stray X-Rays via bremsstrahlung.
@@lcldiy6044 please look up bremsstrahlung. This kind of tube is notorious for producing x rays in addition to the non-ionizing EM it’s trying to emit. All crt tubes with anode voltages over 20kv somewhat do.
I hope this isn’t the wrong place got a request. Can you do a video on dumping a rom (copying data to computer) when the chip is already under epoxy resin?
