I really enjoyed how you rewrote the wire system. Makes total sense and it's amazing that the original devs never thought about optimising it in such a way.
I'm basically developing schizophrenia in trying to understand whether it's pure genious or the humongous...est!, waste pf brain cells in human history! I mean, that's impressive, really. But imagine, spending the equivalent time on something, ANYTHING of real use! You'd have built an empire by now!

That indeed was the intended main takeaway of the video, not sure why all these other commenters are focusing on the minor Terraria/computer aspect of it
If languages and the technology was this accessible in my young years I would have invested time into this to understand the fundamentals way better. Congrats to this project and to this amazing improvement to Terraria to even run it.
You and people like you are why I as a artist with a interest in coding felt comfortable changing my career knowing that art can be found in any medium. You've taken something that is usually just a boring to watch as it is to learn and made it interesting to watch and to learn. I think this is for sure some Hamilton.esk or Micheal Revees.esk shit. Keep on doing what you're doing and I'd love to see some more simple explanations for complex shit in coding with fun videos that can keep even ADHD brains invested.

If you anyone has a deep interest in making things like this or want to understand and see more examples, you should check out powder toy and go through the player creations, theirs some really advanced stuff and there’s some really simple stuff but it’s all very easy to understand. It’s a 2d sandbox game that lets you mess with real world physics like gravity, nuclear energy and wiring.
