Hi, Lars! I'm updating an Anet A8 using the same board. Could you please inform me how you connect the hotend's red cables? Their both are positive cables, but tinybee board are different from Anet A8 and have positve and negative slots. Should I connect both together? Thanks in advice.
@@pedroi.1443 the heater does not care, but the stepper drivers is very sensitive. I burned one just by adjusting it a little. Good luck with your build! Have a wonderful day!
hi. im currently upgrading my printer and by chance i have the same printer and upgrading with the same parts. bmg bondtech, e3d v6 and mks tinybee. when designing a tool head for the new extruder, i noticed theres no way to mount it with the motor sideways without moving the nozzle position away from the original. how do you get around that? how much build volume did you lose? also its not only the nozzle position but also the motor extending further to the right. is it colliding with the z carriage when the tool is all the way to the right? Please get back to me. also, i found out there might be a way to mount the extruder hotend combo with the motor rear facing forwards, bondtech logo facing the mount plate. there might be some issues regarding screwing the whole thing together and also with the motor hanging off so far to the front (about 93mm from the rails). but this would retain the original nozzle position and the whole tool head would not be any bigger in x than the original. what do you think about that option? im currently still designing my tool head, so it can change. which do you think would be better? motor sideways or hanging off to the front?
I haven't lost much buildspace, max 20mm but if I wanted I could offset the bed to compensate. The motor (pancake motor) doesn't hit the side Z carriage because I programmed the tiny bee to can't move beyond a certain point. I would mount the stepper like mine so it doesn't come to far from the mount plate. Consider the vulcano also, I use 0.6 mm nozzle, it's a big printer so it is nice to have capability to print fast and thick if you are printing big stuff. I am really pleased with this setup. I'm trying vulcano style nozzle and BMG clone on my ender 3, I think it will be a good combination. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much, I did exactly what you did and it worked perfectly. Many thanks for this great idea. Your video is helping people all over the world. From Belfast Northern Ireland.
