this video is really nice, but maybe it's only for me, it's kind hard to read the code, can you make the text bigger in the future? thank you again! <3
I'd look at any used Apple Silicon Mac. they should be pretty reasonable. If you have your own monitor, you could go with a Mac mini otherwise a Mac Book aIr works. Good luck!
I'm so sympathetic with the frustrations with Document-based SwiftUI apps. It seems like the right paradigm for simple utility apps, but there's surprising and frustrating aspects with that as the base app structure. the .newWindow, .openWindow stuff that appeared in WWDC22 helped a lot, but the complete opaqueness of accessing the documents from the App level setup really sets it back.
I really hate this walled garden of the OS makers. Everyone has it's own GUI language now and they wonder why GUI programming is dying since the days of good old and still best C++. You need Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, C# and on Linux/GTK maybe even Vala. Together with all the other fragmentation it is no wonder why Frontend Software Engineeing is in Problems now.
Front-end is a mess because there's a new JavaScript framework every week made by people that really really want JavaScript to be a completely different language. :)
Tried it with the latest iOS 16 template for Photoshop on a Mac. Only the edited Icon is taken over to the Template file, no other icon is created. The generate menu item is checked.
Did you make the guest and yourself with AI? Descript for your voice and voice to lips to make it look like you are talking? I'd love to know more about the details of how you made this video! Very cool!
Stop pretending yall can code. You have shit do that for you. Even my wife learned to write a usable program in basic in 3 days, why exactly do you need it? Oh yeah, you looked at a table and think you can code. Lololol
I was going to say that a well done diagram saved the day in so many ways when I worked on a complicated deep linking on-boarding flow. I used it to explain everything to other teams and when new people were on-boarded. Any complex flow needs diagrams IMO.
Lots of good information here, really excited about ´Mobile System Design´ definitely going to grab that when it comes out. Btw. Will 'swift in depth' be updated with async/await and the new generics functionality any time soon or should I just grab the current version?
@@tokero5199 Hi Tjeerd here 👋. So I am still writing the Mobile System Design and yes it's initially launching as an ebook. But in the back of my mind I am considering paperback too. First I want to get the ebook out, and if the book is well received then I am definitely more inclined to put in more time and effort for a paperback. No promises yet, but it's an option. Edit: Regarding Swift in Depth, I'd say the book is still a strong foundation, after which you can learn new Swift 5.7 syntax on top. I don't have it planned to update it, but I am considering it. Right now I am focusing on finishing Mobile System Design. I wish I could clone myself to speed it up! 😀
@@tjeerdintveen1852 Thanks for getting back to me. Good news about the possibility of a paperback, being a fulltime iOS developer I really use all chances I get to get away from looking at a screen. I will order the paperback Swift in depth right away!
Good Question! I think the emphasis is on the "apps" part in that you can build individual based on those parts. Here's an excerpt from Gio's article: > What sets this architecture apart from other approaches that emphasize modularity is the use of module-specific applications-microapps-as a tool for fast-paced development and testing. Teams can build one or more internal-facing microapps tailored to their needs, including only the modules necessary for the feature they’re working on. increment.com/mobile/microapps-architecture/
@@brightdigitBut we can't run each of the modules separately. We still need a project for that. Also, we can't deliver SPMs to TestFlight, as far as I know. I reached out to Majid for an answer. He said it's essentially the same thing.
I watch all of the Point Free videos and it great to hear from people using TCA in real applications. Great interview and Zev explained it beautifully.
Yeah I’m having a blast working out, playing this game, and testing out my app. The full play through is on the other channel. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lfiND3qPS00.html
Do one one windows please. How do you make each folder stay at its own preset every time I make a new folder & change the view it turns the new ones like that. I just want some list & some icon.
Where do you go for stuff that is not related to technical development ? Like legal issue ( where to create app company ? ....) marketing methods ...any forum ? Website ? And book(s) that could help? Thx
That's a great question! Since we are not talking technical, I would reach out to the greater SaaS (software as a service) community. Just off the top of my head: microconf.com - great community transistor.fm/podcasts-for-bootstrappers/ - great podcasts www.indiehackers.com - another great community microsaas.one
