Welcome to the official Electric Mojo RU-vid channel! We're an independent guitar shop catering to guitar pedal and amp fanatics. Our channel is all about showcasing the best in boutique gear, with in-depth demos of unique guitar pedals and amps. Whether you're chasing new tones or just love gear, you've come to the right place!
There's a bunch of sick fuzzes being made by amazing builders at the moment :) None would use the same components found in Isle of Tone pedals, but they'd sound amazing nonetheless. The King Tone miniFUZZ V2, the Scott McKeon SM Fuzz, and the DanDrive Austin Pride come to mind.
Hey @fuzzface-983. I noticed on your RU-vid channel that you seem to be having an issue with the volume pot on your Gypsy-Vibe S. Since the pedal wasn’t purchased from us, I don’t have access to the specifics of your order, but I’d be more than happy to put you in touch with Argenziano. Kamila and Franco are some of the kindest people in the industry, and I’m sure they’ll be happy to help resolve any issue you might be experiencing with one of their pedals. Rather than leaving negative comments about others’ hard work, let’s focus on finding a solution. I’m sure they’ll be glad to assist you in getting everything sorted out :)
You’ve left a few comments pertaining to the price of the Haze67 over the past few months 😅 Would you like me to put you in touch with Isle of Tone directly so you can voice your concerns to the right people? It seems like the price of this fuzz is really bothering you, and as much as I’d love to help, there’s not much I can do about it here. If the Haze67 isn’t for you, that’s totally fine. I’m sure there’s a fuzz out there that is perfect for you-it doesn’t have to be the Haze67 😅. If the Beetronics Tuna Fuzz is something you feel sounds identical to the Haze67, by all means, go for it and have fun with your new fuzz :)
Great review! The Blackbird has been my 'always on' pedal in front of my Fender and/or into my ProTools Studio Rig for the last few years - it's a superb piece of kit, extremely versatile and easily tweaked to accommodate anything from a Les Paul to Strat to Casino and whatever else you might have on hand!
I ordered one in the non-rocket shape from your shop a while ago. I experimented a bit with the settings. Do you remember the jumper settings for this demo?
Sure. Email the shop if you'd like me to send you the 'Visage Quick Start Guide' PDF :) The settings in this vid are the first suggestion in the doc (A4 B1 C1).
@@ElectricMojoGuitars thank you for the super fast response! No need to send the settings, I have got the manual from their website. I was just curious because I couldn’t quite get this rustling woosh you had with the strat. Probably because I am not playing one 😅 I like 31 and 37. sounds very close to an original fuzz face I think. Again, thanks for your help!
It would depend on your personal needs and tastes. They're very different circuits. Do you have an idea of the tones you'd like to get from your next fuzz?
@@ElectricMojoGuitars looking for an allround fuzz... from fuzzface to tonbender to zonk... and one who is good with Volumepot, like a nkt275 or a good old fuzzface... ?! ?! ?!
@@maximilianlun I'd suggest checking out the King Tone miniFUZZ V2, the Kernom MOHO, or the Vemuram Shanks II. Those should get you closer to the level of versatility you're describing here :)
@@maximilianlun The recommendation is based on the needs you described in your initial message ("looking for an allround fuzz... from fuzzface to tonbender to zonk... and one who is good with Volumepot"). The Shanks II would fit the bill better in this scenario. The Myriad is an amazing fuzz, but wouldn't be my recommendation for the needs you are describing.
Sorry to ask… are you playing the ‘I want to tell you’ riff wrong on purpose? Listen again, then play it, as it was originally played, just on the A and D strings. Lot easier, and much more authentic.
(Very) late to the party. Excellent sound setting examples and playing. However, what was the signal path? Into your DAW direct with some amp sims? Via a modeller? Into a mic’d amp out of sight?
