Hello, thanks for posting this video, very useful. I’m looking to book this type of villa next year, could you let me know if your terrace and pool had a good amount of sun during the day please?
@@simonmartin570 Yes, the terrace area close to the villa had all day sun, perfect for lounging in the sun. This was for this specific villa so the one you’re assigned might differ. Enjoy your stay next year & thanks for watching! 😃😎
Would love to hear what you have to say but the audio is too low. I’ve got the volume all the way up but I’ll have to try to listen again in a super quiet environment
It's A La Carte menu. You get to order whatever you like from the menu and it's freshly prepared for you. Breakfast was included in our booking, so you can get quite full on breakfast alone. Thanks for watching.
We used Tropical Elite Tours. It’s Hilton’s preferred transfer service. They’re also located in the hotel offering excursions. Someone will meet you just outside the doors of the airport and walk you through the craze of tour operators to meet your driver. We were picked up in an SUV which was clean and new. Driver was very professional and safe. He even asked us what we wanted to listen to along the way. What he had on was fine and we just went with that. Thank you for watching!
Any tips on getting there ? Airport to fly into? Airport to hotel? How much currency to convert to cash? How to get around the island? My wife and I are seriously considering this destination (with some of our points)
We flew from Rome to Herakilon (HER) via Athens with Aegean Air. prices are very cheap so we paid cash for that flight. Channa is about 1.5-2 hrs away. Royal Senses is about 40-45 mins drive from Heraklion Airport. You can rent a car and pick up from the airport, which is what I wish we had done, but my husband wasn't keen on that. We rented a car at reception, there's a lady from a local rental company there everyday. There are transfers available, private or thru the hotel if you prefer and maybe rent only on the days you'd like to go exploring. There's also an excursion hut a little past past Royal Blue by the local shop. You can book day trips that'll pick you up from there or at the hotel. We did not use cash as all credit cards are accepted at all the local spots around the island. I prefer to use my Amex Gold or Chase Shappire to earn points on dining. Same for the rental we booked at reception. Amex Green Card for 3X on rentals. You'd have to DM me for tips on getting from your home airport to Crete on points. You can find me on Instagram @sxiebrit
When did you go that it was so windy ? I’m looking to go in September to this same room, I thought the pool and outdoor space attached to the room would be bigger
We were there October 2nd thru 5th. All the staff said the heavy winds were very unusual. When we went to Rethymno it was calm and sunny. This villa is quite spacious for two adults and perhaps two small children. I found the living room to be small compared to the outdoor space, which I wish we could have used.
How much did you spend there? My wife and I want to go for 4-5 days. I have enough points to cover the room. But they have no prices listed for anything else. Like food, spa, activities, etc
Prices are very reasonable. We stayed 6 days, 5 nights with breakfast included due to being a diamond member. So lunch and dinner for 3-4 days was $659 for my family of three. We ate lunch and dinner out in town two days out of 6. An average of $73.22 per person, per day.
It was a nice resort and location to explore the island from. If I went back and stayed there again, I'd have to book a larger room for more space to spread out. The room we stayed in didn't have enough room for two adults and one child. Especially when it came to storing our luggage. As I mentioned in my video description we spent most of our time out and about during the day. It's pretty much what most people do on holiday.
Sorry for the late response. This ball pit can be ordered from Scandiborn.co.uk. They ship to this US. Pottery Barn also sells this ball pit. Thanks for watching!
