Is the cave mentioned near Mississippi's highpoint Chalk Mine Hollow? I think the podcast said it was "behind" the highpoint but Chalk Mine Hollow is like a 25-minute ride away.
Great interview! Mike took me out snowshoeing and I thought I was gonna die. I didn't die. Now I'm taking my kids out in the freezing cold and hiking peaks. They love it.

I’m surprised no one mentioned the fun fact that due to the fact that earth is not a perfect sphere, the summit of Chimborazo is further from the center of the earth than the summit of Everest.
This was so fascinating! I've known that my grandson Scott is a climber, but never heard so many details about his adventures. So proud of what he does, but also that he is such a good man.

Ekeney is a great lady! Always helping out on the Mountain. I don't know where she get her energy from, she is so strong. Such a brave woman she is. I recommend her for anyone who want to climb Mountain Kilimanjaro. She made me enjoyed my Kilimanjaro experience. She is such a kind hearted lady, always watching out for me to help me carry my luggages on the Mountain whenever I was tired.
Just found this podcast. Loved your Mount Marcy story! I had a similar experience attempting it in the middle of winter, but then it was an unseasonably WARM day, so I still got the "hiking up a river" experience
