Personally I don’t mind the redesign, but I don’t think the sensor should be so exposed without some sort of bug cover. Like even a mesh would do the trick. I got one of those new first alert talking ones, (can’t find the model rn) and even the sensor inside the casing has a mesh. But honestly I’d prefer this one over something like the kn cosm iba just because of the photoelectric smoke sensor, but this new wire connector is awful. I’d like to pick one of these up sometime
Definitely worth seeing! Not every day you would find a CJ Anderson elevator. I rode this thing last summer in which I will have a video up eventually.
This was my third time seeing these buttons in the field. My first encounter was the Jones Beach Theater which got ruined recently, and another was at a pedestrian bridge (only present on the call stations) and is normally locked from the outside. I was really pleased to see this really uncommon fixture especially in a place like NYC. I was long late for the ones at the Las Vegas bridges too.
i've never seen these elevators before, but i could just tell this mod ruined their reputation. those indicators on the outside look absolutely awful. quite sad to see another set of old elevators go.
