Hey same for me , i knew greek gods and it was easy for me to get into it but for this book i only knew thor, loki ,odin and asgard and it made be a bit boring first but then it was fantastic
Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but... I didn't like the TOA. I loved Apollo in the Percy Jackson books. Because he wasn't there for long. He was funny and sincere and he cared about his sister. He was a nice character. But I just... didn't need five books about him. I didn't like Meg. I didn't like how the books were just an excuse for characters to come, insult Apollo, and go. I'm not a fan of mocking and teasing people endlessly, okay? If you want me to like the main character, you can't only make others mock them. It makes no sense. Why would I like a character no one seems to appreciate or like?

I’m here in 2024 watching this somehow and chuckling because Kaltain killed Arobynn with a stiletto (knife), not a shoe, and I’m also very amused by the pronunciation of wrydhound because they definitely are “weird” even though it’s pronounced more like “word” 😂
The ending of this book WAS WILD!! Although I'm super confused why the Thunderhead is saying all of humanity is complicit in these evil acts that Goddard and his supporters are carrying out. I also got so mad at the Thunderhead throughout the whole book for not taking any action through loopholes in the laws against the Scythedom ughhhhhhh!
I loooooooved this book....Honestly i spent 3 months reading dramione fanfics beforehand because i got so bummed with a few books i bought which turned out to be trash ( twisted series) and then i came upon Scythe and I LOVED IT! where I am from physical books are a bit expensive so i am waiting for Eid to get the offers and buy the 2nd and 3rd book....SO EXCITED!
I don’t think that convo with Ares happens in the book, because we only have Percy’s POV in the first series, and Percy isn’t there at the time. So we wouldn’t have seen that convo

The thing you have to remember about living in a fantasy world is that you're limited to its technology unless able to carry some modern technology with you. So it might be okay to visit, but unless you're able to work magic it's going to get old very quickly. That being said, mine would be the world of Magic, Inc. by Robert A. Heinlein, the worlds of Operation Chaos and Three Hearts and Three Lions by Poul Anderson, the world of Lord Darcy by Randall Garrett, and Middle Earth in the Third Age, when the realms of Arnor and Gondor were at the height of their power.
I fell asleep so many times with Duolingo but I made it to the top several times. I quit it cus it took so much of my time. It could be fine for beginning but I am beyond beginner and I am in Mexico where I can practice live. Anyway, I give you credit for sharing at such an early point in your journey. Love your attitude and smile and voice too. You are sure to do fine as you keep applying yourself to the work! ❤
Was anyone else absolutely bawling when Lorcan was sacrificing himself to save Elide? I thought this was such a heartwrenching moment because we all knew that Lorcan was a dead man walking, and he had even told Elide as much when they were traveling together. But with the borrowed time that he had, Elide softened his stone cold heart and made him care for someone other than himself and Maeve for likely the first time in his immortal life. And when he was so devastated by the fact that he could lose her because she jumped in the way to try to save his life... I absolutely lost it 😭😭 just amazing work SJM
I just finished reading and i feel like I am in some trance mode.😢 I literally couldn't keep down the book from chapter 71 and read it till 5 am in morning slept at six and then again started reading next day . Some BEST MOMENTS SAD/HAPPY -The scene when 5000 witches come to war , and its start was also great like from hearth to hearth Queen has called to march North and excellent timing also -Aelin expending her 3 months power to save army and people ..that was brilliant..the fact that she was glowing(her body) a tower of f flame .😮😮 -No one said about little folk but it was so magical , the blue faerie lights and boat in aelin's rescue also when Lord of North came , Doom is near ..and made a swift path ..felt like whole nature was bending its laws for her .. - All time repeating lines like I am aelin ashryver whitehorn galathynius and i will not be afraid .. For BETTER WORLD , A BETTER WORLD 🌎 -Dorian at being such a good politician , He literally Twisted Maeve into helping him , and then destroyed Morath , He has a major character development..also when he says there will only be one witch who will be my queen..something like that , and i was hoping that they'll marry in the last.. - I was still confused at Yrene being the one who killed Erawan..as her power was not shown in depth and that was some hole there .. - I was really hoping to see Rowaelin do carranam in this ..but i dont know what or how Rowan, aelin , lorcan combined their powers ..was it carranam of three people.. Still confused.. -All time faavr couple Elide and Lorchan , also Lord lorchan lochan was so hilarious by the end .. But seriously She is a character that some people might ignore , she is human , don't know how to fight , she is weak doesn't have magic but ..she has so much wisdom.. The fact that killing erawan was her idea , She knew where Aelin was...every time she is always right .. I loved the scene when Elide and Aelin were bathing in tub , and she said it doesn't matter if you have no powers , not to me you are so much more ..❤❤❤Love her for that ..😘😘
💯The burden on lysandra was too much from starting of this book , and I thought that aedion will be there to take care of her..but he didn't support her .. She was so tired in battles , first from that white sea dragon ,to wyverns till the ending .I was scared all the time that she will die before aelin reaches 💯Also the part where Aelin without her magic or some embers of it was standing before Maeve and Erawan and i could imagine her legs shaking but she really was so brave in dividing them.. Awesome scene 🔥🔥
Did no one cried at the moment when aelin was taken away , I felt like I was looking from the eyes of elide and I was crying hell out -When they took her shirt and whipped her so many times again again again again.. -When Rowan said where is my wife 😭😭😭 -lorcan feeling she sacrificed herself for elide ..and was devastated even more after hearing wife word from Rowan .. OH MY GOD and after all that happened we have army of assasins and galan .. I was like dudes why were you not here just 30 minutes before 😭😭why when she was taken they all came to shore... So much devastated of feeling aelin , and imagining on those iron mask , and chains ...
