Hello and welcome to the Channel, here you will find me as i play through different games. some times with brute force, and sometimes thing don't go always as i plan them to.
System specs:
Ryzen 3800x RTX 2070 super 16GB 3600 billistacs DDR4 ram
I must admit I really enjoy this sim. It got some pretty bad reviews when released. I think the main issue was that since it was a "spin off" of Silent Hunter 2 people were expecting some great destroyer vs sub action. Unfortunately the sub hunting aspect of DC is easily the worst. But the anti aircraft action is great and the torpedoes are fun to use if you have the patience to work out the targeting computer. The surface gun action is pretty intense, but it's really pure luck if you survive. Overall it's an immersive and rewarding sim if you can overlook it's drawbacks.
It was a bit of a clunky spin off of Silent Hunter II that did well. I was curious about it today after downloading the latest Silent Hunter, it's ok but a shame they didn't stick with a Destroyer Command parallel series.
No key bindings given for traversing the turret. Weirdly, the default bindings require me to hold a mouse button down while traversing the turret. This is very awkward to aim, and it also fires machine guns. There is obviously another way. It is very difficult to understand the key binding labels in the game. I very often don't get the result I think the key binding will give. I can't even find out how to aim the gun with a joystick lol.
I think I’m gonna bump down the enemy squadron count on mine, it tends to make you outnumbered by throwing like 5 squadrons on your 3 to 4 guys literally every time I’ve flown in it.
StuG III tank destroyer variants are defensive not offensive weapons. Hunting anti-tank guns was the domain of the infantry support types. I can see in this game play how the lack of a traversing turret made any attempt to use the StuG in an offensive role difficult and hazardous.
Yep, that was something that i was not aware of at the time of recording, but i found out well the video was rendering. As usual the guys at 1C are good at getting the correct model for the time that they are going for with any vehicle.
This video is dated, and maybe that’s why it seems to be mostly a single shooter vs very docile targets. No awareness of the Tiger by artillery or tanks . They simply wait to be destroyed. Not very satisfying from a combat perspective, but a good way to gain some experience with the game and vehicle. Let me know if I’m off base with the comments. I’ll look for a more recent playback to see what’s new with the game. Lots, I imagine. Thanks for posting, I learned some things.
Hell of a flight...don't think I've seen one with so many allied getting splashed and, seemingly, without a loss. Great news about FC2/3...only downside (minor) is that it all hails from 1917 onward so none of the earlier scouts such as the DH2 or even the Sopwith Pup, which is a shame but at least they are giving us pretty much what we've been wanting so fair enough. Look forward to the next episode. Cheers.
Great to see you doing a Flying Circus campaign...gotta admit, the DR1 is not the easiest aircraft to land. Damned thing just wants to stay in the air. I just always use a long, low approach and lots of blipping...kinda works. Also, have been re-watching your Tank Crew vids. I bought it quite a while back but have only just really dived into it and your controls guide was very useful. Thanks. Would be great to see you re-new TC, too, though perhaps after Flying Circus. Cheers bud.
Thanks! Was a bit hard to find the time before now to do any recording with my shifts jumping form starting at 5pm to 12am and back again. (along with not being super happy with what i did record just due to being so tired.)
@@Pwnyou7 Fair enough, man. Did actually put you into the same class as Wolf345 what with your content and commentary...still kinda do. Anyway, am glad that you're back and putting out content again...good luck in the future and (from a selfish pov) look forward to much more. Cheers bud.
Can't fire, relaod or anything. What a fucking waste of time. Yes all my key bindings are correct and my keyboazrd settings in windows 10 correspond to my physical layout. Juts a buggy shitty mess. Can't use gunners in aircraft either as that suffers from the same issues, wtf 1C ? Good video anyways, wish I could actually do what I see in this video tho.
They are accurately depicted in this DC scenario. The Wickes Class or Clemson Class (Davco), were US build World War One era destroyers that formed the backbone of the US navy early in the war.
Way to demonstrate how to not fly a scripted campaign dude...totally missed the point by going off alone, missed the anti-shipping portion of that mission as well.
hello here is my feeling for this game , in the campaign part : graphic: I noticed graphic problems, when there are too many tanks on the horizon the game becomes jerky while there is no drop in fps sound: there is a bug with explosions and gunfire, the sound disappears. gameplay: when one is at the post of tank commander, the gunner is involved in turning the turret by himself while one does not necessarily want him to do it. there should be a button to disable that I also find that the missions are too simplistic, the ground is too flat in general and when we arrive at the place of fight the enemies are already all destroyed, there is no need to shoot the least shell, it removes the interest of the fighting game. in comparison the game T34 vs. TIGER is much more varied and interesting in the design of maps and the variety of events during the fights, so I find that it lacks depth and variety in missions that are otherwise too short. there should be narrower zones, obligatory passages with ambush or the enemy would be less than 500 meters away and he would come out of the anti-tank guns through the woods to attack the flanks of the panzers etc. it's an example of a scenario it seems that the Russian tanks used to rush at full speed all closed hatches? from what I saw in the game the Russian tanks rather tend to shoot from afar, I do not find it logical especially if they are supposed to fight heavy tanks, they do not have much luck in shooting from afar and finally, I find that hearing the pilots' voices in an untimely way spoils the gaming experience, making them feel like playing a plane game and not a tank game.
