For anyone that's thinking of getting one of these guys know that the inuit people needed a dog that could think and make decision on their own and have 3000 years of evolution toward this purpose. Add to this the fact that they don't have the food motivation other breeds do, they are especially hard to train and will regularly test authorities and boundaries. However if you have a lot (I cannot emphasize enough on this) of time to devote on them they are worth it.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the information helpful. Congratulations on bringing home a Chow Chow! They are amazing companions. enjoy your time with your new furry friend!
No spaying and neutering isn't good for all dogs health. In fact of it's done at to young an age,it can harm their health. Now of you have a dog that isn't food for breeding purposes, then AFTER if its growth plates ate closed it may be appropriate or at least ok to spay of neuter.
Just rescued a “pittie” that looks exactly like a cur, right down to the ear, blaze and perpetually freaked out whites of the eyes. His personality and build is also more that of a cur. Fingers crossed for when we get the Embark back. Wouldn’t be surprise if he was 100% cur.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that my video resonated with someone with as much experience with Black Mouth Curs as you. They truly are incredible dogs. Your love and dedication to them over the past 20 years are genuinely inspiring. 🐾
Hello Sir/Mam, I Visited your RU-vid channel and noticed it ranks lower than others. SEO could be better, though your content is fantastic. Do you know why your videos aren't attracting more views? One key factor is insufficient SEO (your videos' SEO score is 52.7/100%, that's why your video is not reaching out to the people and you need more. subscribers, views, likes, watch time, and comments. If you'd like, I can help you with improving it. I think your RU-vid channel will make your dream come true. I am waiting for your response.
A friend of mine has a Black Mouth Cur and I look after her when he goes away on trips. She's lovely. Intelligent, obedient, energetic but not exhausting. She's fun to have around. If I were to get another dog, I would be inclined to get this breed. Lovely dogs.
I don't have a fence but she listens very well unless there's a critter or someone on the property. She knows when to protect or when just to check things out. I got her at 2.5 years old and she's been amazing
That's great to hear! It sounds like your Black Mouth Cur is a smart and intuitive companion. It's wonderful that she knows how to differentiate between protecting and just being curious. Sounds like you have a fantastic bond with her!
You gave a very informed description of the Borzoi. Their temperament does vary in individuals. I have had several and only one hated other dogs. I had two who got along with my pet fox,ram and chickens. One did bite my father-in-law but dog was ok after a tetanus! They are generally lovely natured and a pleasure to own
Hunting dogs shouldn't be as delicate and frail as this video is making them out to be. At least the hounds, curs and mix breeds I grew up around stayed good fat and healthy on anything you fed them.
If you solve this issues your video show on RU-vid top page properly according to youtube algorithm rules. Then you can must be get start more views and subscribers. If you want i can show or explain you the major issues.
Your video really quality full but your video aren't reaching out everywhere. That's why you are not getting much more audience engagement in your videos. Because your video SEO and optimization section is missing. Now you should customized and properly setup it. Do you know about SEO and how to work it?
Ours was a Queensland, smartest dog I ever had. Taught my horses to come, got any cattle that crawled back in the pasture & protected us all when we needed him. He had longer hair, course ridge on his back & shorter legs then the ones I see now.
That's fascinating to hear about your Queensland! It sounds like he was an incredibly intelligent and versatile dog, with some unique traits. It's amazing how these dogs have such a natural instinct to work and protect. Thank you for sharing your experience!
@@DogBreedWise I think it was all the activities that helped make him so good, he learned quickly but got bored easy. He got more brain and active work then any other pup we had. Think this breed is generally hyper active & gifted ? I would take another elderly one in, but we don’t have the activity level & work they need for their minds for another young one. I will always miss our “Rodeo Boy” . Oh he was born black with white around his neck, nose tail & legs. He turned color as he got older to look like a lot like your boys coats do.
That's wonderful to hear! It sounds like you've had an amazing companion for nearly a decade. Black Mouth Curs are known for their loyalty and affection. Wishing you and your furry friend continued happiness and peace!
You know that none of the three dogs in the picture is a Barak, right?? I mean...how?? Why?? I can give you one photo of my dog, if you have copyright issues.
I want one of these dogs , but I don't like that hip thing ,and allergies. My bully had bad allergies, and ear infections. That was horrible. I got a pitbull now,and I could get a nice cur I would minus the allergies.
Thanks for sharing your concerns! It's important to consider health issues like hip dysplasia and allergies when looking into dog breeds. Each dog is unique, and not all Black Mouth Curs will necessarily have these issues. Consulting with a reputable breeder who can provide health clearances for the puppy's parents might help minimize the chance of these problems. For allergies, regular grooming and a proper diet can also make a big difference. I hope you find the right companion for you!
Publix has human grade Chicken and Beef Bone Broth for dogs with glucosamine and chondroitin for their hips and bones. Also, chopped up fresh carrots, green beens, a little greek yougurt, Fresh Pet, blueberries and a raw egg 2 or three times mixed with Nomm dry food. You'll tell a difference in coat, energy an and brighter eyes.
Honestly first I've heard of bmc's having hip issues. They're considered healthier dogs than most and live 12-18 years. I'm an owner myself and it's like having boxer mixed with a malinois as far as intelligence and energy. They are extremely loyal dogs, so much so that separation anxiety can be a small issue. They do need exercise to spend their energy but as long as you do that they are nearly perfect.
When they say long walks, they aren't kidding! My husband took ours on a 10 hour walk on a hot day (yes he brought plenty of water). When they got home, she lay down for half an hour, and then was raring to go again! I must mention this: bringing Lassie into BC history is so wrong. Lassie was a Scottish Collie, not a Border Collie. While also intelligent, they have nothing on the Border Collie for brains, are much bigger and heavier, have a completely different head shape, and have a different coat type.
Thank you for sharing your experience with your Alopekis, Marley! It sounds like he's a wonderful addition to your family. We love hearing about the unique personalities and characteristics of the dogs in our community. Keep enjoying your precious time with Marley!
Everything is not alapaha Blue Blood bulldog this breed is extinct this breed is dead Miss Lane what's the first creator of this breed but she didn't get a chance to make her own breed because she died.
Great info. One thing to add, pure blue stumpies should have no tan markings at all on their coat. Similar for reds but I'm unsure of the actual specifics of permissable and non permissable red markings. Cheers.
I have acquired 2 sisters. They both have brown Sox and chest. I have had ACD before. These are completely different. Maybe not purebred stumpy's but dam close
@@johngaulding3710 Stumpies are actually a seperate breed to ACD but still so similar that they are regularly interbred somewhere down the generation lines giving most blue Stumpies now the tan markings passed on by ACD. The only true pure Stumpies come from dedicated breeders using genetically DNA tested pure parents with no historical ACD ancestry. Pure reds should have a red mottled coat with only white mottling and no solid red colouring. But that's only for the fanatics and show scenes, who cares if most Stumpies have a bit of ACD thrown in. Just gives you the best of both Cattle Dog breeds.
