I’m from Gallipolis. I recently moved away but I was lucky to get to go to church with my mom and see Joe speak a couple times. I am so happy that he is able to speak to this community and that my friends and family back home can get such good support. I will continue to watch Joe, hear the word and continue to better myself and become a better Christian. I’m very grateful that the Gallipolis Christian Church posts these sermons. THANKS
50:00 This is a message that I had to learn from God myself, recently. A man I struggle with and have disagreements with was blessed by God. I wont give specifics, because they don't matter. It was an eye opening moment for me to see that God loves him as much as He loves me and that God is working in his life just as much as He's working in mine. Seeing God through the blessings He gives to people you struggle to love is a very humbling experience, but is not something I would want to give up. This has been a tremendous talk. I wish more church leaders expressed their doubts and their desire to continue in faith despite their doubts. I wish more church leaders confessed their sins and their shortcomings more, because it invites into the Church of God those people who have similar shortcomings. Allowing yourself to be human helps the sheep of your flock to not make an idol out of you and to focus their attention where it is needed: on God and His Son. The Bible says that Scripture is given by Inspiration of God. If that is the only requisite, then this talk is Scripture.
Thank goodness for these recordings of Joe’s sermons. I can’t wait to hear them when I’m not able to get to church. They sustain me throughout the week!
