I've got a Physical Overhaul Mod coming out soon that fixes all these problems. Makes Unarmed combat fun and let's you live your dream of being an intergalactic Martial arts master. It even buffs the other crap skills. Nutrition makes food heal +40 hp and has double the % bonus. Decontamination makes food heal +5 and gives you a lot more experience for exploring new locations. Environmental conditioning gives 1% damage reduction per rank, some more exp for exploring and let's you carry a bit more, Cellular regen let's you carry more and gives 2% health per rank, Fitness adds a speed boost per rank, wellness let's you carry a little more per rank like 1 or 2kg, Gymnastics gives a small chance to dodge all attacks and each rank increases your jump height by 25 - 40% Weightlifting adds a little Unarmed damage bonus and changes to a % carry increase which stacks with the other skills instead of a flat increase. Boxing, Martial Arts and Neurostrikes each add some damage per rank to your Unarmed damage so if you take all of them your will be doing respectable damage. Plus you get slightly more exp for killing enemies Unarmed or in melee like 1 per rank. I think it does some more I've forgotten too. There is a stripped down version out on the Nexus now though called Unarmed Mastery that buffs unarmed and has a few other bonuses. Ill probably put the Physical overhaul on Creation club so Console players can use it too when its done.
Eventually I'll probably do a mod that overhauls the garbage skills from other trees too it's probably going to be harder to figure out how to make crap social skills and such better in a way that makes sense. I'm nearly done with another mod that adds a ton of completely new skills to the physical tree including a ton of real world martial arts that all have in game effects similar to what they do in real life. Judo, Aikido, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Karate, Taekwando, Kung Fu, Jeet Kun Do, Ninjutsu, a few styles of Kung Fu Tiger, Crane, Monkey and Shaolin. Perhaps more before it's done. It will let you build a specialized Unarmed fighting style for your game. Someone might focus more on Speed or hitting hard or not getting hit or perhaps disarming and knocking down enemies or maybe health with Tai Chi and Shaolin.
I've actually avoided those exact same skills that you mention, and I did it because I thought they wouldn't benefit me. I did have a little prior knowledge about the food, and if I hadn't known how little good it does when you have chosen the Wanted trait during character creation, I wouldn't have known. So I guess I've been lucky. But I'm even more lucky because I actually DID take the Rejuvenation skill very recently, so I only have one point in it, and so far that point is very helpful for the same reason that you pointed out, the truly annoying constant scrolling through a long list of Aid stuff in my inventory in order to find all the 2 points of health and 4 points of health, and one or two 8 or even 10 points of health. I even found a 12 points of health item a few days ago, probably because I'd reached level 60 and have put the first point into the Medicine skill. Seeing that you have 100% the same view as I do means that I trust your advice. I will put off taking anymore points into Rejuvenation except for one more, so I have 2 points in it. Too bad because I'd been looking forward to healing when in battle, even if it would only be a littlebit. So thank you so much for making this video! ☺
Many skills are synergistic and compliment/compound with others. Plus, there is no level cap and if you are methodical and focused, you can simply grind for the skills you want/need until you are satisfied. I did that before starting playing the story for real (my character is lvl 240 now). I can craft/build everything (minus some magazines that I am currently acquiring); they should patch to enable crafting to include med packs and other crafting items (not materials) for research projects
From what I've heard Bethesda is planning to extend the work with Starfield a few years into the future, and with that comes a lot of patches, but I'm sure they'll also add new content and, who knows, new perks to be acquired once all the skills in every skill tree have been filled out. I like the way you've played the game. So you haven't acquired any of the Starborn powers yet? I just got around to my first main story completion, and it's made me consider going for all the Starborn powers now, and once I have them all, I will play a NG+ from scratch and play all the faction quests and side quests because this game is full of great story telling, one of Bethesda's greatest strengths. Melee for a sneak build is worthless as well. The detection is not very consistent. You could be invisible and not even within line of sight of someone and they will know where you are instantly. Unfortunately you can’t get past the sound issue of being so close to someone. Maybe if you had some rare scenario in which you could stay still and lure them in but good luck.

Concealment (4lvl) working like a perk shadow warrior in skyrim. I have ~4k sneak damage with "instigating wakizashi" (without pharmakology). Legendary "cornerned berserker instigation" wakizaahi or va'ruun painblade + frostwolf and 100% damage buff on Grav Dash (lvl10) looks interesting<3
Do you ever feel someone looking at you from across a room even though you’re looking the opposite direction? Like a 6th sense? Some of the AI have that! It’s a feature not a bug 😅😂
good viedeo and good list but have to add some info to it: you can mod alot of weapons to deal EM damage so the veriety of weapons is quiet big. I can imagin on high dificulty it can be jused to stunn bosses and kill them without them fighting back ( just a theory). wellnes is buged but as a T4 skil its also too high in my eyes, T2 it could be a nice adishen just to not needing as much medpacks. I found an armore that does the same as wellnes 1 and 2, its nice not to haveing to think about healing after a fight. robotics is not that juseful as the animal and human skills, but there are alot of robots that dont have a console for them, so it is not as bad as it looks.
Em weapons are just not worth at all, they fire very slowly and do very little to no damage. It's better to do stealth missions without combat. And using a em weapon in a boss fight is tantamount to suicide on higher difficulties.
Yeah, hands down the worst unarmed in any game I've played so far. I'm impressed you could keep it till level 20. I transitioned towards melee as soon as I realized there is no unarmed weapons in the game.
I was just laughing when I read this because I've done this with every Bethesda game since Daggerfall, mess up on my build and restart about level 20 or so. You are not alone! 👍
Hi there. I found a Reddit topic about armor penetration and people said it doesn't work with melee. :/ It's a mess since the game states "attacks"... So I would put points on that only if Bethesda fixes this issue. Exo Servos mod could be good to craft for some extra damage but only if you really want to maximize the damage at a high level. Or you were lucky and you found an item with it. I personally did not care about this because I read it's like 10% and I didn't want to craft suits myself. If you like to craft things though, go for it. Hope it helps!
To level up Stealth quick, get a Kraken with a silencer on it. It registers each bullet as a sneak attack and since it is a full auto gun, you can rack up the numbers you need to advance up the ranks very quickly.
"You need to be naked in space to make this build work. " :D I tried with or without spacesuit long ago. Similarly being noticed at random times. It needs a hotfix.
@@ChunksEnjoyer majority of the time when you're fighting enemies you are not out in space so you don't need your space suit. You can go right up behind enemies easily sneaking. Not bugged at all.
Look, if people want this game to become better over time. It's good to point out what needs to be improved. I've tested it again. Sometimes how they hear you & sometimes how they can see you works horribly compared to anything I've played in my life. Hence why you can see people complaining about it or even modding sneaking for themselves to make it playable. The video is up.
I ran around the Lodge overencumbered by at least 500kg thanks to all the resources I collected and put into my safe just to try and level up my characters fitness rank and I slept in the bed to heal any damage and restore my O2. At this point my character fully romanced Sarah, minus the marriage, so every time my character went to bed completely exhausted it is implied that he did it with Sarah, every time, 85 times. (The amount I needed to rank up my fitness to the final rank) and woke up somehow completely rested. TLDR: My character ran around the lodge to the point of exhaustion over and over and had sex with sarah 85 times to work on his fitness.
Yup, it happens after every single sleep. Which becomes weird real quick when you have like 10 people around you on your small ship, including Sam and his kid looking at you with a big smile.
How about the Hunter final boss teleporting outside the play area, while still constantly replicating himself. Yep, happened to me twice and I simply gave up. I could see his little marker outside the play area and I also could not access him to complete the mission. The missions with UC Def are also game broken bugged. They send you on a clandestine stealth mission and you are supposed to gain a UC naval uniform for a disguise. As soon as you change out of your space suit into the ordinary uniform regardless it is an area with plenty of air you instantly cannot breath and 30 seconds later are dead. I verified files, made a save file re-installed the game etc etc and still it always happened. Next playthrough I got past this one all the way to the end where a ship battle takes place prior to entering the Key to finish off the Crimson Fleet and my ship just froze, yep, it would not move. Reload the save and then I was unable to disable the defense batteries, it was like they had immunity. Just had another one, first power you find, the little platform in front of the circle door kept falling when the door opened and killing me. At the moment I have retired the game, there is no point in putting up with this kind of nonsense, I would not hold my breath for a fix either as if you played Skyrim when it first came out it took them five years to fix a lot of major bugs. Hi Kit, I haven't played Skyrim, but only the Fallout games from them. That's worrying if they didn't fix those issues in Skyrim. This time, they want to sell many DLCs, though. It would be absolutely dumb to not fix the bugs because they want to milk this heavily in the upcoming years. We will see though, big companies these days constantly surprise me with silly decisions. Then this final boss bug doesn't seem so rare. I had the same issues, but I decided to be against everyone. Weird how on one PC I know well that not many bugs occur, and on my PC it's a mess. Easily the most nonsense I have seen in about 25 years of gaming. Consider that I was still really impressed at around 8-10 hours of playtime. I still find things to enjoy in the game but huge patches are needed if they want to keep the players. The more you look behind the curtain, the more obvious it becomes how many things are just an illusion. Example: Shoot someone who lifts weights and see what happens. You can extrapolate to everything from issues like this. The game is just not ready yet but it's released to get the money and people can test the issues for free instead of them. I wanted to upload the issues one by one in short clips, but it's way too much for that. A long video seems like a better idea.
