Drake appeals to the overall demographic of white people waaaaaaaay more than Kendrick. Drake has never made socially conscious rap at any point in his career to where his opinion would isolate him or put him on one side of a fence. Kendrick has ("Alright" is just an example), and because of that Kendrick will never be at the same level of Drake when it comes to popularity and numbers.
