Classe, sicurezza, ironia, intelligenza brillante. Un tempo questo era il modello maschile. Ora la mascolinità, per come ci viene proposta dai media, deve esprimersi in modo inoffensivo: fisico palestrato e addominali scolpiti.
I would have liked to have seen Desmond make a guest appearance in “Star Trek:The Next Generation” as a senior “Q”who would show up to give John DeLancie’s Q character a galactic ration of snark.
Time goes on, and the torch has to be passed. The new guy, or kid, playing Q now is an original twist. I like to think of him as old Q's genius grandson.
From the You Only Live Twice segment...the fact that Bond doesn't even consider Tiger's offer to use his helicopter instead of Little Nellie says a lot; Bond may relish giving Q a hard time, but he's got faith in the man's work.
Desmond Llewellyn is my favourite actor to play q I am currently on James bond film marathon I Always look up at the screen when Desmond Llewellyn is on the screen
I wholeheartedly agree To me Desmond Llewellyn is to James bond is what Bernard cribbins is to doctor who two absolute gems of human beings who steal the show consistently and are both sorely missed
Fun fact, Desmond Llewelyn was an officer for the Royal Welch Fusiliers, he was taken as a prisoner of war and was kept as a prisoner of war until the camp was destroyed, they had attempted to tunnel out once before
Caricherai anche le compilation con Timothy Dalton e Pierce Brosnan? Brosnan e stato il Bond della mia infanzia mentre Dalton si avvicina moltissimo ai romanzi di Ian Fleming, il che e interessante
From his wiki: His last appearance as Q prior to his death was in The World Is Not Enough in 1999. During his briefing of 007 in the film, Q introduces John Cleese's character, R, as his heir presumptive, and the film alludes to Q's retirement, to which Bond, after seeing Q, expresses his hope that it will not be any time soon. Q's response is to admonish Bond to "always have an escape plan", after which he lowers himself through the floor of his lab. Llewelyn had stated not long before his death that he had no plans to retire and that he would continue playing Q "as long as the producers want me and the Almighty (God) doesn't." I guess God decided that He wanted him. I think I've seen Brosnan make some comment about that scene - Llewelyn had died just 3 weeks after the film released.
