Check from gas can to carb. Obstructions in the pick up, get new gas lines and primer bulb, check the gas lines leading to the carb, the fuel filter and finally give the carb a good clean with compressed air and make sure all the jets are unclogged. If you have spark and nothing is in blocking the air intake it should run good assuming the compression and spark are good. Too big of a gap on the spark plug might lead to missing under load so check that too if the previous things don’t solve your problem. Cheers!
@@oakashthorn5714 Hast the defender been modified in anyway, the black smoke is usually caused by people winding up the fuel pump or installing a boost pin etc. If not, cleaning out or replacing the air filter may help, does the defender feel slow or underpowered?

With the engine stopped pull both front windows switches ( from the driver's door side ) ( the one's with push option ) and keep them up , then put the contact on ( turn the key into the 2nd position when the dash lights come up ) and keep the button's up for 10 sec. That should reset the windows push option module. Same for the sun roof. Tip . Try to put some silicone in your gasket / rail from the right hand side window.. it seems that the rail is clogged or maybe dirty so the anti catch sistem feels that something is over there and as a emergency retracts the window.
Yeah i tried a cold start on my defender, it was -15 and the door wouldn’t unlock to let me in at first. After much heating of the lock i got in and started it fine but...putting some throttle on and it stalled, guessed the fuel filter fitted in the rear wheel arch (great idea) had waxed up fuel in it. I had to start it and leave it running at idle for a while until it heated the fuel up (there was no water in the fuel filter and it was new). I wont bore you with the list of whats hone wrong with it over the years but my advice is to buy a Toyota, they’re not crap.

Comunque una persona ce la fa da sgonfio, basta avere due belle braccia e non dover fare chilometri ovviamente. Da gonfiato impossibile, si può al massimo trascinare.

Il volumetrico è incredibile gli scoppiettii a rilascio se li sogna il turbo uscito nel 2007.. Dal 2007 al 2011 hanno avuto solo problemi le mini turbo infatti le vendono a prezzi stracciati anche autosaloni se ti fai due domande,ecco il perché.
Ciao! Il 300 non ce l'ho più, ho una 130 td5 adesso! Comunque il settaggio era questo: Membrana 135° Vite stellata esterna 2 gir ruota dentata +1/4 giro da fine corsa Fuel delivery screw prima svitata 1/2 giro, dopo avvitata 1/8, ma al mio 300 l'avevano già toccata questa.
vespa4ever si ho visto il tuo td5 be il td5 è più prestante del 300 senza dubbio se mappato va forte ! Comunque io ho messo il boost pin e turbina a 1.2 giro di ghiera è un po’ di gasolio spinge forte però fuma anche lui ! Avrei voglia di mettere una tgv sperando di avere dei bei risultati !
If my observation is correct, somehow the rpm dwell as you let go of the gas pedal is no longer presence. That is the feature helping you catch the next higher gear during a shift. Especially when you pull beyond 3000 rpm.
Carlo maglietti sono passati tanti anni ma in effetti quella volta in supersprint sono stati un po superficiali.. evidentemente erano abituati a ben altro e una mini non li impensieriva 😅
