I have quite a few tactile switches, but most of them are loud and don't seem to have a deep sound.😅 Still, I'll give you my personal recommendation. 1. Akko Lavender Purple 2. AKKO Ocean Blue 3. Akko V3 Cream Blue + 4. Gateron Baby Kangaroo Switches 1-3 are relatively deep-sounding tactile switches. Switch 4 is a little louder than switches 1-3. However, the tactile distinction is not too strong, so it is a switch I like to use because it feels comfortable to type on.
what would you say is the difference between the hmx pebble and hmx violets in your opinion? do they feel the same? they sound exactly identifical to me
This is purely my personal opinion on both switches.😅 If you look at the numbers alone, the switch pressure is the same for both switches, but when you type on them, the Violet is slightly heavier than the Pebble switch, and conversely, the typing sound of the Pebble is slightly lower than that of the Violet switch.😀
I haven't purchased the AKKO Rosewood switches so I can't compare, but from what I've seen of AKKO Rosewood switch typing videos, they seem to be a bit quieter than the Vertex V1 switches.😀
It took me 7-8 hours to film this short video and editing took a long time.😱😭 But your comments are a great help! Thank you for watching the video! Have a nice day!
Did the keyboard become unusable after downloading the software and connecting it to the keyboard? Or did the keyboard suddenly become unusable before downloading the software? As far as I know, if it's the former, it's commonly known as a board failure due to a software upgrade, and in this case, I don't know how to fix it.😭 If it's the latter, I suspect a board defect. If it's the latter, you'll probably have to contact the seller and request an exchange.😢 Lastly, I'd like you to try the keyboard factory reset shortcut key! If anyone knows about this issue, please leave additional comments!
I made the purchase using a purchasing agency site in Korea.😅 I looked it up now and it seems that you can purchase it right away if you search for the product on AliExpress.
If you purchase the Lucky finished product, it comes with the coconut latte switch.😀 If you prefer a light, high-pitched feel, the coconut latte switch is a good choice. For a lower pitch, I recommend the HMX Hibiscus switch!
Thank you for such nice comparing each popular switch with leobog. How you put both switch's name and spec, showing all in the same keyboard, is clear and super easy to understand their difference. Thank you for your efforts for community.
Although the key feel is different, the sound is most similar to the Vertex V1 switches. The midnight switch has a short treble length and the key feel feels a bit more hitting the floor than the Vertex V1.☺ Recording is done using a Zoom H1n recorder.
@@19_91 i just leared that the midnights uses 2-staged spring. And I am actually about to mod my vertex v1 with 2-stage springs. Now I might just need to try midnights instead. 🤔
@@kenv2667 I understand that the length of the spring affects key pressure, and the travel length I mentioned above is affected by the length of the stem.🙂 The two switches are almost different except for the low pitch.😅 My opinions may not all be correct, so please just bear with me.☺
wow what a great content! thank you for this! I have the Rainy75 Lite with PP place and is now using Vertex V1. I am planning to buy the FR4 and wanted to hear what would be the difference. after watching this, I noticed, no difference hahah. Maybe a little poppier in FR4
Comparing the FR4 Plate and PP Plate, there is a clear difference in typing feel. As someone who likes low pitch, I usually prefer the PP Plate, but I liked the FR4 Plate more in Rainy75. And as you can see in the video, there is actually no big difference in sound, and the FR4 Plate is slightly louder. Thank you for your comment! have a good day!
@@kenv2667 The FR4 Plate is moderately hard, so it feels like it makes the key feel of the switch more accurate. The PP Plate feels too soft for my standards on Rainy75. I don't know if my explanation has answered some of your questions.😅
I also plan to purchase ceramic keycaps. It may take a while, but once I purchase the ceramic keycap, I will make a video testing it on the clicky switch. Thank you for your comment! have a good day!
@@19_91 yes.. thank you sir. Because No one is on RU-vid until this day using ceramic + blue switch or any clicky switch. I am soooo curious! Thank you sir 🙏🏻
@@SLi21story I think there is no video because the effect of the ceramic keycaps on Clicky switches is probably not great. Ceramic keycaps make the sound lower and deeper, but the Clicky switch is not a low switch, so I don't think there will be much difference from other keycaps.😥
It's just my personal preference, but I like low pitch sounds. So, I originally prefer the PP Plate, but for the Rainy75 keyboard, I like the combination of the FR4 Plate and HMX (SPM) Hibiscus Switch the best.
This is a Switch fidget toy I made using a Switch keychain. I made it with 6 Switch keychains sold at the link below. ko.aliexpress.com/item/1005006856664086.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.pcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller.9.a9fddoOgdoOg4Y&gps-id=pcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller&scm=1007.40000.327270.0&scm_id=1007.40000.327270.0&scm-url=1007.40000.327270.0&pvid=c674da35-e1e5-4bdf-976c-edb8af23af30&_t=gps-id:pcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller,scm-url:1007.40000.327270.0,pvid:c674da35-e1e5-4bdf-976c-edb8af23af30,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238111%231996&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21KRW%213701%211760%21%21%2119.01%219.04%21%402140c5a117201952885827677ea8b3%2112000038543362971%21rec%21KR%211611043097%21&utparam-url=scene%3ApcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller%7Cquery_from%3A
Depending on the keyboard, there are differences, but in most cases, when you use the tape mode, the sound tends to be more pronounced rather than deeper.😊 If you want to create a deeper sound, adding PE foam underneath the switches can be helpful.
@@19_91 Keep going man, Can't wait for some Keychron in here. Especially the Q1, haven't heard a real thocky akko switches placed in one, and also no one has modded the KQ One Plus in youtube. Been waiting for a while.
@@johnpaulgonzalez9016 Someone who has been consistently watching my videos, it seems.🥺 Thank you very much for your comment!🥰 I was contemplating whether my videos were not helpful.😥 I will continue to create videos consistently! Have a great day
Weikav Coconut Lattes and JWK Vertex V1s are my favs would be also nice to hear how Domikey Choco Donuts and Kailh Hush Pro linears/tactiles would sound
The keyboard shown in the video is in stock condition and has not been modified. Therefore, if you use the same switches as those in the video, you will achieve the same results you desire.
Nice, finally someone try rainy with vertex v1. Also first time see someone get the yellow version since it is asia exclusive. What the difference between wob switch and vertex in person
Compared to wob switches, Vertex V1 switches produce a lower-pitched sound. However, when installed on the Rainy75 keyboard, the sound feels smaller in terms of volume compared to the sound produced by Vertex V1 on other keyboards.😅 Additionally, I believe that HMX Violet, Pebble, and Hibiscus switches complement the Rainy75 very well. If you prefer a high-pitched sound, Violet or Pebble switches would be good choices. For a middle-pitched feel, the Hibiscus switch might be a better option. Please note that these opinions are subjective.
In terms of price, the Leobog Hi8 is much more cost-effective. When it comes to the overall design and external details, the Rainy75 has an advantage. However, one drawback of the Rainy75 is that its coating wears off too easily. Personally, I found the typing feel and sound of the Leobog Hi8 to be slightly deeper and more satisfying.
@@TechyGamerDad316 I don’t have the MMD Cream V4 switch, but I have the MMD Cream V2 switch. So, when comparing Cream V2 and Midnight, the Midnight switch has a shorter key travel distance and slightly higher actuation force than the Cream V2 switch. Additionally, the switch sound of the Midnight is characterized by a lower pitch. Both switches are evaluated as good switches in various aspects.
I went forward and ordered 90 pieces of TTC Silent Frozen V2 for ~USD45, as a replacement to my really liked Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow, which are considered budget but are very nice and close to silent switches. Lets see how they will compare and hope I'll not be upset. I was mostly comparing to the Kaihl Deep Sea Pro Silent V2. Thanks for this comparison, also gives some idea.
