Thanks so much Jordy; been frustrated trying to make undercuts and I see what I've been doing incorrectly by watching and listening to this video. Heading out to the workshop to practice, practice, practice some more :)

Very informative, thanks. Reference treated wood with kerosine etc, do you not carve that because there may be toxins in the dust when carving, or because it furs up burrs? Also, ref driftwood, do you carve it soon after collecting it from a beach or how long do you dry it for first? (It was kind of a catchy tune by the way.)

Hi I'm about to get a dremel 4000 to start carving wood, I heard you talk about getting scrap wood from really anywhere, and I was wondering, could you carve building lumber from lowes or would it be too hard? I was thinking of just going and buying a 4x4 to practice carving but I don't know if that's different than regular wood? Maybe a dumb question but like I said I'm brand new to this..

Good tips on the power carving tools. Now I understand the difference between 4000 and 4300 Dremel and the knock offs. My hand me down Dremel model 200 no flex shaft, finally died this week. I too am a little heavy handed,LoL so this is super good information to help me get the one that fits the way I like to carve. Thanks again Jordy.

Hey Jordy. I'm tackling my most ambitious project yet; a hawk head & using your eagle as a guide. How do you keep the abalone shell in the socket? Super glue, epoxy, or...? I know this is old, but hoping for a reply anyway... Thanks!

Excellent. Got a set of these and a couple of kutzalls on the way after watching your vids. Looking forward to doing some damage to a pile of old wood, and probably a few fingers. Cheers from blighty!

Excellent video series...very creative....the only suggestion I would offer is regarding the beak...because it is short, it makes the eagle look more like a hawk...although the eye certainly favors the eagle...ie "eagle eye" ..nice touch...I like the spirit in the background...very well done. Thanks for your tutorials... greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your guidance...I used your technique and was amazed at how my spirit turned out...I actually used a piece of cedar 4x4 post with one of the four corner as the point for the nose...biggest challenge is to control the bit which cuts differently based on the direction you move it...which you already know... its now to practice on detail.
