If you're making these shorts, you probably need some indicator of what the heck you guys are even talking about. I'm assuming some sort of sport, but it could easily be an esport or something else.
Rod, this year has been a lot better when it comes to adapting and changing. Not everything worked out, but if you do not try, you will not know what will work. I see massive improvements compared to last year. My only frustration is that he mostly makes subs in the 80+ minutes. At that point, it is too late for fresh blood to make a real change. Speaking of rivalry, you need fans to have a rivalry. When Atlanta 2 fans (family) come with Atlanta 1 jerseys, thats not real fans. Right now, I hate (not as a person but his personality) the Atlanta 2 coach. He complains and whines all the time. I cannot stand this. Thank you guys for a great podcast, as usual!
Also, I am not sure if I missed but I was hopping you guys would talk about how Atlanta couch got a red card. Seating in the midfield and waving him was an amazing bonus to the game!
Thanks guys for a great podcast. Can you talk about how “man of the match” being selected? Because I was little bit surprised that McGrath was selected after missing a penalty and missing it. Unless he is not the one who took it and I just need glasses.
Okay, first of all, Breezy, it is called futbol. Go check what CFC means😂 but to my question about number 9. I guess the problem with X is that you need to keep things short. I am in no way trying to say he was or is bad. I think to make a comparison (that probably will make many people mad), I see a similarity in tacktics with Man City when it comes to forwards. Haaland is a great striker, but this season, it seems that Pep is mainly using him for other clubs. The opposite clubs must use two defenders to cover him. But he is a good finisher and can finish when the ball is given. At the same time there are other players that in Man City that can and will score. I think last year, we mostly relied on our striker. We had a good striker. But that is why, at the end of the season, we could not score as easily as at the beginning since other teams figured out and started to block him (Saanah games do not count). Overall, there is clear growth in the club, and I just wanted to see if I was going crazy or if there was a change in tactics. I am not as smart as Matthew, so I just wanted to see what you guys think. Thanks for a great podcast.
I agree with Breezy; losing is never a win. We could have benefited from more games. By logic, if you have a game, you will still have training time but also experience of an actual game where the pressure is present.
Personally, on a game against Miami, I experienced a flashback to our semifinal game last year. We were better, stronger, and had the possession, but we just could not score. And that was painful. Yes, the ref was not helpful, but you could see that we were out of luck. I get that we are still waiting on players, but it was painful.
Thank you guys for a great podcast! I agree with y’all about the selling of players. I am happy to see that CFC is growing to place where we potentially able to start selling players. Maybe also we will be able to find a way to connect through Volkswagen with VfL Wolfsburg and get some European connections. The future is bright for CFC!
Albert for sure! There is a Wolfsburg connection and small partnership (remember the white jerseys from a couple years ago?) BUT it's never resulted in a player. Which I REALLY want to see. Agreed 100%. Also, the Rivas signing which we haven't talked about on a pod yet, is very interesting. -Breezy
Will the Cfc supports meet anywhere on Sunday in Huntsville or just straight to the game. Since we have close away games this year, where is the place to go to find out where to meet, section we are sitting in, etc for away games?
Now that we will be having multiples close home road trips, can you announce where the chattahooligans are sitting so we can buy tickets in that section?
as we get closer, I'm sure we will. Tom Gonzalez usually coordinates road trip stuff so we'll see what he (and others) come up with as we get closer. -Breezy
This was my third year of being a CFC fan, but my first year of being a season ticket holder and being really truly invested. I’ve never been a sports fan kind of girl, but this team and this club are so so special that there’s not much of a choice in the matter. It was such a fantastic season with lots of memories made and I’m determined not to let last night overshadow it. Thank you for the soccer therapy.. it was needed today.
I feel like this 2-0 loss you were more complimentary towards us than you were when we drew 0-0 last time. That game you just seemed angry we'd played defensively for a point haha.
In n out! And the east coast headquarters is in Nashville. So we will be getting it in next several years! But if y’all ain’t saying cook out and reppin Tennessee then get out!
Omar brings valuable experience as a player and a coach to CFC. I think his two masters degrees and depth of leadership knowledge, combined with fierce competitiveness, make him an exceptionally good addition to the CFC coaching staff!
"I went back and I looked at every single goal that Markus had ever scored for CFC"... well, I know the one that I watched that you didn't get to see, because FCU couldn't figure out streaming.
Heinz baked beans are not the same as American baked beans (Bush's). They're in a tomato sauce, and amazing on toast with eggs. I get them at Wegmans in New York, so they're potentially available in TN.
