This is amazing! I kinda prefer this scene a bit more because of the use of his arm cannon. The arm cannons were only used in 2 scenes in the film. Edit: Don't get me wrong, I like the scene we got in the final.
Good ear, @WiiFan444 ! The original temp score for this scene was lost so the music is whatever I could pull from my library. This particular sting might be familiar to someone who uses iMovie…
These storyboards aren’t super clear, but he is not ripped apart. Our plan was that Stinky Pete would’ve ended up in Japan after all but without the others.
As a karrat holder, and a massive fan of My Pet Hooligan, I'm more excited for The Others than I've ever been about pretty much anything ever. Phenomenal work you are all doing.
We hope there will be new remake Osamu Tezuka's 'Astro Boy / Iron Arm' movies produced by Walt Disney Animation Studio, in the far future since(from) the 2030s or 2040s. Astro Boy Series truly look like and might fit to Walt Disney Animation.
@@Colin_a_Brady I can't believe You actually work on the project. What was the original script for the movie You was making? Was it originally going to be dark?
Yes, it would’ve been more dark than what was released. But not any darker than what I’ve always admired with the studio Ghibli films. There also was a lot more absurd and broad humour as well in this original version. I’ve been inspired by all of your comments here to post some of the original extremely rough storyboards as well as cleaning some up with AI to see what the style might’ve looked like… thanks for your interest and questions!
Yeah, prospector being such a stick in the mud was best left on the cutting room floor. I could imagine him being too annoying and too easy to predict as the villain.
0:13 in Toy Story 2 Woody's Arm 💪🏻💪🏻 is ripped by Accident with Play with Andy His Arm ripped and fall off when thread was caught on the pole stand at Al's Apartment and His Arm ripped again after Fighting with The Prospector (Aka Stinky Pete) 😄😄
This one actually did a good job Astro boys hair change inspired by Mickey Mouse and everything it actually felt like watching an Astro boy anime hopefully we get something like this in the future
Thanks for noticing. Seems like one of the top five characteristics of Astro boy was to at least keep the two hair points iconic and graphic, just like the original Mickey Mouse.
This is awesome!! I've always wanted to see more of this clip!! This would have made a better film. Not only as a general movie, but as an Astro Boy movie aswell. But I do have a question. Who made the decision to change the film? Like, who looked at this and said, "Nah, this won't appel to people, let's change it."
