I'm curious of the design choice of having backlight rgb but keycaps are not shine through... Difficult to find replacement keycaps with the special split spacebars
If this thing had a tent kit like the Kinesis Freestyle 2, I'd ask my Reasonable Accommodations folks to order one immediately. My wrist likes the KF2, but my fingers absolutely hate its mushy membranes and the fact that I can't just pop the broken G and 6 switches out so I can get back to work. I have a Keychron K7 and a C2 at home and love them.
The Freestyle Pro has a choice of Red, Blue, and Brown Cherry MX mechanical switches. That should fix the mushy feel. You can try QMX clips on them if they are too loud for your workplace.
I am no longer buying Keychron. They missed the mark on this keyboard but the reason I am not buying is because they will not post my negative review. A company that shows only the good ratings on their website is not honest and does not deserve my money. I bought like 5 of their keyboards, wish I never had
Yep! You can assign them to Macros (All though I have not done it myself yet). I think on Keychrons website they show off Zooming in/out. By default, the knobs work in the same way (Mute/ volume)
I am struggling with repeating keys, this is not at all reliable, its so painful to see keys repeating, specifically some keys (a, space, i, b) - I thought its switches, i replaced it but still i see this issue.
I was thinking to try the tenting kit from the Dygma Raise. Some custom drilling in the base of the Q11 would be required of course. But maybe it would be worth it. I'm just not sure if the Q11 can be disassemled easily or not to get to the base for drilling..

It would be nice if you could do a follow up video. I never spent much money on a keyboard but now I’m looking and willing to spend on something more ergonomic since my wrist is starting to give me pain due to bad hand posture.
Quick Update: I know it isnt the most in depth, but now that I have been using the keyboard for the last few days, I can add a little more thoughts. It really is a joy to type on. I use it all day for work (software dev) and gaming at night. The board is SOLID. No flexing on the keys when smashing on them. The split is a little weird to get use to, but I am already getting much faster. Also I realized that I traditionally hit the "Y" button with my left hand, where as now, I cant do that with split. The macro programming isn't the easiest with VIA and certainly isn't the best software that I have used. For example, I want the right knob to play/pause when pressed, but that part of the software doesn't make it possible. KeyTweak and AutoHot Key have helped to bridge some of these gaps. Other than that, I have enjoyed the new board. It is really well built. One last complaint, or a nice-to-have would be some feet under the board to help with tilt (since it just sits flat). Also, the keycaps feel great, but I may switch them to something a little more flat.
First Alu board. Welcome to the Hobby! If you wanna upgrade something i would recommend going for switches first, since there are sooo good tactile switches out there compared to the standard browns from most brands. Next is Keycaps! Keychron Keycaps feel pretty cheap. If you have the chance, upgrade to some double shot PBT or ABS. But yeah, this can be expensive. For very cheap MODS that upgrade the Keychron sound a lot, i would recommend the PE Foam Mod first, Force Break Mod right after and then a Holee Mod and a Tempest Tape Mod. You would be impressed how much 5$ and an hour of modding can change the feel and sound of a Keychron board for the better!
@@johnipjaymartus703 still not bad u could get more if u wanna know mine then urs is kinda godly 😂 well mine is a laptop first case intel i3 2nd ggen intel hd 2000 4gb ram and hdd 500gb hdd gets around 15 fps and sometimes even drops to 1 at firing
boulahcen123 gaming - good luck, it’s a better game than I expected to be honest and you can pick up the (odd) controls pretty quickly. That being said, this is on High Graphics. I did switch it to Ultra (the next step up) and saw about a 15-20 fps drop while running around. I am sure your 1060 will do what you want on high, not sure going to Ultra is worth it though.
